Poor coverage... read fine prnt.
My dog is covered for illness and I keep up with rountine care, testing, and vaccinations. We got our dog one year ago from rescue shelter and he was heart worm negative. I have kept up giving him Trifexis . With yearly updates, i found out he was positve for heartworms. My vet tells me that sometimes you can get a false negative ??? Pets Best tells me that heart worm treatment is covered on routine/wellness care ONLY and will NOT cover his heart worm treatment. I am sorry, my dog contacted heart worms when I did everything right and is no longer WELL. He is recoveing and will be looking for another insurance!!!!! My vet has given me some recommendations.

Wonderful Pet Insurance
When we adopted our dog a few years ago, we did a lot of research on pet insurance, and chose Healthy Paws since it looked like the best coverage for the money. After recent surgery for a torn ligament, we submitted our first claims that exceeded our deductible, and couldn't be more pleased with Healthy Paws. The online claim submission process was quick and easy, and we had a check in hand within less than a week. They've been very clear about what's covered, and the overall customer service has been fantastic. We're so happy we chose Healthy Paws and can't recommend them enough!

Excellent customer service prompt processing of payments and true caring for animals I have owned golden retrievers for 38 years and this is my first time having pet insurance for my almost a year golden puppies. I endured 3 deaths of my goldens last year in 5 months and over 30,000 in bills I vowed to get pet insurance in the future so happy I did thank you may I never have to use it for the giant operations treatments etc but if I do Trupanion will be on our side
