I have had insurance for Sophie (dog, mutt), all her life (9+ years). While not everything is covered, PetsHealth does reimburse you honestly and promptly. Overall, I am super-happy I've had it, as it covered some serious surgeries for my pet.

Thank goodness for pet insurance
It is not easy to see your pet suffer nor to make an emergency visit to a vet.b As a result of the visit we found out our dog required emergency surgery. The decision was easy and effortless knowing we had insurance. I am sad to report that while in emergency we saw other families faced with the difficult decisions we are grateful to not have had to make. Our experience eased our emotions knowing we could afford to care for our pet and the results were effortless with Trupanion.

Really bad experience.
This experience was really bad. My claim was deined at first because there was not enough medical history. Then it was denied because the services rendered were before the beginning of my coverage period, which was NOT TRUE since I received reimbursement for a claim just 4 months prior to that. Not sure if this is because it's a new business or if it's another case of insurance companies simply wanting to receive money but not send any out of they can help it. I really expected better from a company calling itself "EMBRACE". I have absolutely not felt embraced.
