Healthy Paws doesn't operate like an insurance co.
We have had insurance for our 4 dogs for almost a year and we have been lucky.. out dogs haven't had any healthy issues. Zero. Then all of the sudden one of our dogs got a strange infection in her chest/throat area that was hard and lumpy. We bounced back and fourth between our regular vet and animal emergency (our dog got really sick the Friday before memorial day weekend, so we didn't have access to our normal vet). We were in emergency 3 times over 3 days. Then back to our vet on Tues, then referred to an internist/specialist who we are working with currently. I am writing this review on 6/7 and our dog stated to have health issues the second week of May. And for the people that like "bottom line" information, we have spent over $5100 in treatments for our dog in the month of May... and we have received 70% of that back from Healthy Paws. (We have a 70% coverage plan based on her age). She is still recovering (she has some sort of auto immune disease) and we have a ways to go until she is back to normal... but she is on the mend and this entire process was made a lot less stressful because of Healthy Paws. We have already received our reimbursement checks and it really lightens the load during this stressful and expensive time. My research in to pet insurance companies has paid off... Healthy Paws is an impressive organization. If you don't have health insurance for your pet, get it asap. And if you haven't decided who you are going with, go with Healthy Paws

Compassionate and honest service
ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has been covering my furry babies for many years, and I have been very satisfied with the customer service, ease of filling out claims and the quick turnaround for reimbursement. Through the years, several of our cats have passed away, and when the company heard about our loss, they were very supportive and compassionate. I highly recommend this insurance to others.

Easier and friendlier than human insurance
Healthy Paws has been the easiest, friendliest, most caring insurance company I have ever worked with. Hands down. My dog Lenny was hit by a car after he got out from under a gate. His back leg was slashed open to his bone. Sorry for the details, but you can get the picture on how deep it was. The Vet said that he would have a better chance of a full recovery with no issues if we use this thing called the wound VAC. I called Healthy Paws to see if they cover it and they said they would get back to me ASAP. The next day I called, and they told me that they will cover and I should start the procedure. Flash foward 3 weeks.. Lenny is at 85% ( still has issues with managing his weigh on the weak leg)and is pretty much back to his old self. With out Healthy Paws covering it, he would still have a bandage that would need to be changed everyday, and not even close to recovered. So seriously, thank you!! Everyone I spoke to was so helpful and nice, I really appreciate it.

I appreciate that i get an email with the details upon Trupanion receiving claim and usually payment within 1 week of that. We are trying to find out my dogs illness, so i also like that once the deductible was paid, the rest of the testing is all part of the one condition.

Trupanion is the best insurance!!
I adopted an American Staffordshire Terrier. I was told that Trupanion was a very great insurance to have for my dog. I'm so happy I chose Trupanion. She had to have a TPLO surgery and they were very efficient with everything she had done . One year later her other leg had to have the same surgery and Trupanion approved it right away. They are excellent and I would recommend them to every dog owner I know. They are awesome. Now my dog has had two TPLO surgeries and they have paid for all of 90% of the nearly $10,000 in bills, What Insurance pays that amount? No one!! Thank you Trupanion!!

Embrace is amazing and continues to improve
I've had Embrace from the second week I adopted my little furry child, a French bulldog named Keelie. Keelie has had some health issues from the beginning - from ear infections to allergies to TWO disc surgeries (IVDD), Embrace has always been there. When she had her first surgery, the bill was over $7,000, and they reimbursed me for my full 80% within 3 weeks. This last round, the bill was nearly the same, and I received my reimbursement in less than a week! She's had some follow up issues and the turnaround for the reimbursement has been amazing. It's great to know that I wont be out all of that money for very long, and that I don't have to think twice about doing what's best for Keelie. I seriously could not have done all of this without Embrace. Thank you!

Excellent Insurance, easy claims, caring staff
My male cat started getting UTI's in March of 2014. He kept getting them back before his meds were out. Finally he got a blockage, which we caught in time and then we were told he needed a significant operation (peri urethrosteotomy). Because this was such a serious surgery I opted to get a 2nd opinion in a Boston Hospital. Because I had insurance, I was able to get the best care for my cat and myself. Thank you Healthy Paws for the "peace of mind". Bleu is much better now and we will never have to worry again!

I could not have had a better experience with ASPCA Pet Health Insurance! I am so happy with my experience that I encourage others to try this insurance as well.I have two cats: one covered under ASPCA, another covered under 24PetWatch. My cats ate the leaves from a lily plant, which I didnt know were so highly toxic, they can kill pets within 72 hours. They were hospitalized for 3 days. It was traumatic for them and for me. When I filed my two claims, the check from ASPCA Insurance came back within about 10 days. I had a couple of questions about the coverage, but everything was straightforward and covered according to the ASPCA plan that I had signed up for. (On the other hand, I am still fighting my claim with 24PetWatch. They have told me that this claim falls under "digestive" issues and not "accident", therefore sent me a check for less than one third of what should have been reimbursed. I will write another review about them.) The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance were kind, considerate, and easy to work with. I called them to review the reimbursement and they were very helpful and supportive. They didn't try to skimp me on anything. After I called them the day it happened, just to make sure everything would be covered, they even followed up with a call a day later, and then 3 days later, to see how my cat was doing.
