Easy claims & great service
We decided to get pet insurance because our dog Sage started eating things she shouldn't. When we saw how much it costs to remove a foreign object, we realized we couldn't afford the surgery and decided to get pet insurance. A month later our dog ate something and had to have surgery. We were so happy we had insurance otherwise we would have not been able to keep her. Healthy Paws paid the claim before we even got the credit card bill. They were so kind and even emailed us to check in on her. They are clear on the benefits and the claims process was so easy.

Wish my insurance was this easy!
I got Embrace for my English Mastiff as soon as we got him. I did A LOT of number crunching between the plan options. And his coverage has been great over these past (almost) two years. I'm planning on always having it for him. We have used it...needed it...so glad to have had it! No problems at all. My refunds have been fast & easy! Totally worth it!!!Any future dogs...I will be signing them up.

I'd be lost without Trupanion
I rescued Heidi, a Bernese Mountain Dog with severe chronic dry eye, 2 years ago when she was 6. Last year, she developed a small mast cell tumor on her side; subsequent checking revealed she had the early stages of lung cancer. I took her to the very best facility in the area, Cornell Veterinary Specialists in Stamford. They removed 2 of her smaller lung lobes and put her on chemo. We are still treating with the chemo, but she is doing very well. Here's a video I did last winter: https://youtu.be/vmCm6M6IBQo. I own an online business dedicated to creating custom pet memorial jewelry, www.ZeldasSong.com, and i have actively promoted Trupanion to my blog readers and customers: http://blog.zeldassong.com/defend-yourself-with-pet-insurance/. I urge any BMD owner to get Trupanion...I don't think I could have kept Heidi alive without it.

Rate hike every year
They say the rate is not affected by your dog aging but my rates have gone up every year to the point they are now over 30$ more than when I first started. They will tell you it is based on the average cost per bread in that area but no way has it gone up that much especially year after year. False advertising and poor rates compared to everyone else. Never again.

Misleading insurance
I am very unhappy with this insurance and would not recommend them at all. I spoke with a representative when I first purchased this insurance and it was never explained that they get to decide how much they are willing to pay for something and you get reimbursed from they decided something is worth. For example my dog injured her tail and we had to have it amputated. The vet charged me $137 for the amputation ASPCA decided the amputation was worth $120 so (after the deductible I was reimbursed 90% of $120. SO MISLEADING!!!!! My total vet bill was $704 I had a $100 deductible but I was only reimbursed $434. EVERY SINGLE ITEM on my bill was over the ASPCA allowable amount (so I lost money on ALL of it) The allowable amount on one of the prescriptions my dog had was $.54 where can I get a prescription for under a dollar!!! I would not recommend this company and I think they are very deceitful!!

ASPCA is a grest insurance company
we have a 4 year old domestic short hair cat. we divide our year between NY and California. We have had a claim rising in each location. The company processed our claims very quickly and issued reimbursement. we have NO reservations about ASPCA.
