Claims Paid, On-Time and Peace of Mind
So I had never thought we needed pet insurance per se as our black lab is a former Guide Dogs for the Blind career change dog at just 4 years old. He's fussed over, taken care of and has been the model of health. But being a former coverage attorney and current realtor who always advises people to get insurance 'because you never know,' we signed up for Embrace nonetheless 2 years ago. Premium payments were easy and we kind of forgot about it as it was on auto pay. Well 'you never know' is really maxim more than a thought as our pup had an acute case of pretty intense pancreatitis that doubled him over quickly. We rushed him to our nearest emergency hospital for tests, then to our vet and then back to the pet hospital for the 2 overnights he needed (for IV fluids, tests, ultra sound and more tests). After the intense TLC and professional medical care our pup is back and his happy, quizzical and regal self after about a week of scariness. While that was scary the prospect of having to pay all those bills by ourselves (he racked up to about $7000+ worth of care) wasn't as much of a concern as it would have been if we didn't have the peace of mind that we'd be able to count on Embrace. So when they reviewed and processed our claims with reimbursement checks being sent out less than 2 weeks after our vets submitted our claims we were very (and are still) pleased with Embrace. It works and really does provide peace of mind that when push comes to shove that you really do have an insurer ready to back you and your beloved four-legged family member when it counts the most.

Healthy Paws Is Super Reliable
Our pup Buddy had a terrible foxtail that had worked its way into his hind quarters buried deep in his fur. After several vet appointments, the vet finally figured out it was a foxtail, not a bug bit or old infection. By this time it had worked its way deep within and he had to undergo surgery to have it removed. This was an unexpected expensive little seed. But with our skilled vet and reliable responsive Healthy Paws, Buddy's seed was removed and his bills paid within 10 business days. He is healing fast and we are relieved and feeling grateful we chose healthy paws for insurance. SO WORTH IT.

My Boxer Bubba is in remission from cancer
Bubba has been treated with radiation for 17 sessions, and now is 2/3 through a series of chemotherapy. Trupanion has provided us with its insurance to help delay the costly procedures that now has Bubba in remission. If I did not have Trupanion, I could not afforded this for my pet. Trupanion has many plans to suit everyone's needs.

True customer care from Healthy Paws
Recently, we had to take my dog into an emergency clinic and she had to get an endoscopy to remove and item she had a swallowed followed by 2 follow up days at her vet for IV fluids and antibiotics. After things calmed down I submitted the 3 claims for the different invoices to Healthy Paws. It was so easy to submit the claims and notes online and Healthy Paws responded quickly about the status of processing the claims and the reimbursements we would be receiving. I was so surprised when a week later, I got contacted by Healthy Paws just checking in to see how she was doing after everything that had happened. It was such a nice touch and I was so surprised to receive that email. It really made me feel like who they care for. I was very pleased with the speed of processing my claims and so impressed by their follow up.

In the universe of pet insurance,the best PERIOD.
My beloved "child" Jamie has histiocytic sarcoma requiring amputation of the right front limb and post op chemotherapyall very expensive!!! We called HEALTHY PAWS before surgery and they assured us that they were there to help us. We submit the claims by email with a picture of the invoice and Healthy Paws usually processes the claim within a day and very quickly send a check. We received a check for the surgery within a week. Other claims have been processed quickly as well. Without their support these expenses would have caused severe financial hardships for us. When you are going through the anguish of having a dog with cancer, it is wonderful not to be stressed about the financial aspect of this terrible disease. We have had many dogs and many different pet insurance policies with other companies. Healthy Paws is by far the best!

While the coverage is ok, I am not at all amused with the answer to my recent question about the health check list. I never received a form to have my vet fill out and return within the 30 days of activation. They say it went to my gmail but all I have are emails asking me to like their page, upload cute pictures etc. (Junk mail) Pets Best is blaming Gmail for non-delivery but they can't forward me proof of their supposed original email w/ the form being requested. I'm a timely person and would have followed through.. Still deciding if this is worth keeping (their insurance) I am not one for games.

Better Insurance Than Her Pet Parents!
I work in medicine so I am well aware of the common dealings with insurance companies. I CANNOT praise Healthy Pets enough for their absolutely superb level of service - it far surpasses any pet AND human insurance company I've come across. Fast, friendly, efficient response, guidance, processing and reimbursements. I've called quite a few times regarding our dog and have been comforted and clearly made aware of policy and what to expect each step of the way. The sheer simplicity of submitting claims through the mobile app is mind blowing to me - EVERY insurance company should be run this way. I've received status updates on the weekends and reimbursements nearly immediately. Every person I know with a pet has now signed up with Healthy Pets or are in the process of switching companies. Do not hesitate, this is a no brainer. Protect your pet and feel relief this company actually has their best interests at heart.
