So relieved I have insurance!
Three days after my golden turned 11, Trooper was diagnosed with cancer! A complete surprise because he appeared to be so healthy! He is a registered therapy dog and loves visiting veterans in the VA hospital. Because I signed on to Trupanion some time ago, I don't have to worry about his surgery and chemotherapy expenses which are very costly. Instead we can focus on his health, keep visiting our veterans, keeping him happy and think positive thoughts!

Amazing, claims are paid so quickly and without fuss
Truly wonderful are Truepanion. Our dog had ACL surgery, truepanion pre approved the claim so we only had to pay the deductible to the veteran hospital. The claim was approved within 2 days of being submitted.

My Shi Poo Mr. Darcy had 2 claims, one for bladder stones and the other for tumor removal near his tail. Both of these claims were taken care of quickly and professionally. I could not have been more pleased with the genuine care and respect Healthy Paws has shown me and Mr. Darcy.I have recommended Healthy Paws to anyone who will listen. Being a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by trade I understand the anxiety that medical bills put on a family. If you do not think that Pet Insurance is important, please think again. Do not buy Pet's Best Pet Insurance. It is a scam. My pet accidentally hurt himself when he didn't land properly when he jumped. Even though the insurance says accident is covered, they lied. They said my cat's limp is caused by a congenital condition (by definitely means something you are born with). No matter what your claim is, they will make is seem like it is not covered. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! Instead of this company paying the claim, they would rather lose a 15-year potential customer as well as all the pet owners and organizations I have affiliations with.

This is the easiest medical claim I've ever processed. I love the follow-up emails to keep updated on claim status and the fast processing of two claims I put in for my two dogs. Thumbs up to this company for a great job!

Claim resolution - Fantastic!
My 10 month old Swiss Mountain Dog swallowed a rock. It was stuck in her intestines and needed to be surgically removed. The claim was submitted and within 2 weeks was paid! GREAT SERVICE. It was paid exactly according to my policy - no issues what-so-ever!

Poor coverage
I switched from VPI for 8 years. No issues. This policy...recommended by my vet ....is a waste of money. Nothing is covered. If you switch and your do has had minor issues...which they all do....everything is pre existing. If I wasn't superstitious I'd drop this policy immediately. I still might

Excellent service
My 5 month old Golden got into something toxic or possible blockage and was rushed in for help. The vet bill was more than I had on hand so I needed to borrow for the balance. I filed my claim the first day and it was approved a couple hours later !!! I had my check from them within 7 days and was able to pay back the loan. They were excellent and I am so happy I chose them. I did review the top 3 companies and was told by my vet and the vet specialist clinic that they had very good results with healthy paws, I took their advice and am happy I did

Worth it, and at least easy to use
Insurance is one of those things you hope you never use. I did the math and Healthy Paws seemed like the best for me. I haven't had to use it as much for my cat .But it was worth it for my wolfhound! The good thing is that they pay out quickly. In fact I can use the app to submit the claim before I've left the doctor's office and I get the check in a few days, which is way better than my own health insurance. I understood when I did the math that they wouldn't pay for routine stuff (vaccines and the office visits) which makes sense, though it always FEELS irritating when I submit those visits and most of the claim is denied. However when I have had a real problem, they paid out promptly for everything else, which is a relief. My dog just had a 7K visit to the ICU which I put on my credit card -- the insurance payment showed up before the CC bill did.
