Wellness
This claim was not about injury or illness. This was a wellness claim for a script and heart worm med. I'm really happy with Embrace. I filed claim 1 day and by the next day it was completed. I have had another pet insurance company for all of my Labs. It kept getting worst. I recommend Embrace to everyone. Great people.

Great for that troublesome puppy
I have a German Shepherd who is now about a year and four months old. Over the course of her lifespan, she has required three surgeries in short order. After the first one out of pocket, I learned my lesson and picked up insurance through Healthy Paws. The next two surgeries were covered and processing the claims was really easy, just had to use their mobile app to send them the invoice and the claim was processed in a couple days and the check came two days later. They covered both her stomach surgery and her elbow displaysia. The coverage has been fantastic. The price is reasonable and it's way better to have it and not need it than the alternative. Would definitely recommend.

HEALTHY PAWS IS THE BEST!
I have had pet insurance from several different companies in the past. Healthy Paws is, by far, the best one I have been fortunate enough to find. I have my three pets insured with Healthy Paws. Their policies fit individual needs, and have such better reimbursement than other companies. It is easy to submit a claim online. The customer is kept informed of claim status and the claims are paid promptly. Any interaction I have had by telephone with representatives at Healthy Paws has been very positive. The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and understanding. I intend to be a Health Paws customer for a long time...

Refund too slow
The only complaint I have with ASPCA Pet Insurance is it takes too long to get a refund. I waited once 3 weeks for the claim to be complete then another three days before it was in my checking account but if I have not made a payment they are quick to send a letter or call

ASPCA cares about our two Labs; Sparky and Pluggy
WE have had ASPCA Insurance for about 18 months now and have had claims for check ups and illnesses for both dogs. Pluggy recently developed diabetes and ASPCA is not only helping with our bills, but they call to check in on the guys. My own health insurance doesn't do that! I appreciate their quick claim processing, as well as the transparent manner in which they produce their claim response.

ASPCA experience
I prefer ASPCA Insurance over other providers and have been an ASPCA policy holder for over 5 years. Pros: great portal, speedy claim processing and follow up. Cons: Reimbursement amounts could be higher. I usually get about 60 cents for every dollar spent.

Never Regretted Obtaining Pet Insurance
I have had ASPCA Pet insurance since I brought my baby boy, Bubba, home. It helped when I had him neutered and then when he started having knee issues, the insurance was extremely helpful in covering the expenses that we had for PT, meds, X-rays, and follow-up trips to the vet. Unfortunately, we were not able to keep Bubba from completely tearing his TTL. He had the surgery and the insurance coverage was extremely helpful in covering a large portion of the over $5000 worth of bills.

Skyhigh Premium Increase
I have multiple pets insured with Pets Best and have always founds them to be responsive and speedy on reimbursing claims. My now-10 year old domestic short hair cat's policy recently came up for renewal and and I was stunned to see the rates rise from $416. (including multi-pet discounts) to $532.00, a nearly 30% increase. When I called to complain, I spoke with a representative (Jennifer) who gave me the old line about increased risk, location, breed of animal, etc. And I do understand that a rate increase would be in order as a pet's age increases. But 30%? And, I wondered during our conversation, what happens when the pet turns 11, 12, 13? Since my cats and dogs) have generally reached a ripe old age, at what point does the cost become too prohibitive to continue to insure a pet? Jennifer's response was that there was no guarantee that the rate would not keep rising. What really got a laugh from me was Jennifer's comment that sometimes rates go down. I asked her for an example and she stated that young pets tend to have more accidents and illnesses that lessen as they get older. I then wondered why my four-year old rescue, whom I adopted as a baby, has yet to see a reduction in premium. (I just renewed his policy for nearly $500.00). Pet insurance is, without doubt, a valuable tool to safeguard our pets; however, the exponential rate increases will eventually put most people out of the market as their pets age. Absent these ever-increasing premium hikes, my overall rating would have been close to the top; however, because of the incessant costs of insuring pets, I have to lower my rating to a 5.
