Trupanion there when I needed it, easy & no stress
My two year old Lab Mix Bernese Moutain Dog had an extremely urgent surgery to remove a tumor on his spine. Not only did we have to fly from Alaska to get an MRI, we also had a spinal tap, lots of blood work, and surgery. During this stressful time Trupanion worked with my vet to get the bills settled as they were stacking up to around $10,000. They preapproved claims and called me with status updates. All I did was submit the papers. True to their word my bills have been taken care of per my policy. As a young adult still in college I couldn't have afforded this without Trupanion. After the surgery we discovered my dog has cancer and Trupaion is still there to assist me during this difficult time. Thank goodness I chose Trupanion. You can't beat their customer service and dedication.

Scam
They take your money on a monthly basis, but when it's time to reimburse for claims, they dig up various reasons to not pay out. They are requesting detailed Drs. notes but no where in the policy does it state that.

Pets Best is the perfect name!
Have had Pets Best Insurance for a number of years. Never thought my dog Sophie would need it, but she is almost 8 and has had a few illnesses lately. Pets Best is there for us. Claims were filed and reviewed in a timely manner andmy checks came quickly. Thank you Pets Best. I definitely made the right choice when I purchased this insurance!

Great Insurance that took a big one for the team
So we've had Mr Pickles since 4 months old, and we took out pet insurance with Healthy Paws straight after getting our little guy. Less than 2 weeks after the waiting period finished Pickles was having surgery to remove things he shouldn't have swallowed (rocks, sticks, ribbon etc). Healthy Paws didn't flinch, and with the necessary documentation paid out 90% of the $2,500 cost for the treatment. Thank you Healthy Paws, what great service!!!

Literally the worst expierience ever. It took two months of them telling me they would pay and not pay multiple times. I spoke with 6 different people about my dogs claim. Was reimbursed for nothing because they found any reason they could to get out of paying me.

You not only care about my pet, they reduced my stress by making financing major procedures quick and easy. My dogs knee surgery was very stressful, but was much easier with Healthy Paws covering the primary costs. They always evaluate claims within 2 business days and send a check immediately.
