BEST PET INSURANCE COMPANY BY FAR!
I really don't know where me or my spouse would be, or what we'd do, if not for Healthy Paws. We adopted our zoe in April 2016 at 12 weeks old...over the course of her 1st 10 months with us, she has been diagnosed with several health issues & have also had a few emergencies which had we NOT of had Healthy Paws, i'm not sure what the fate of our Zoe would have been. We have never been denied a claim & it has eased so much stress knowing that she will be well cared for...especially knowing that some of her conditions have potential to be life long. I would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone seeking a good company to cover their pet! We really don't know how to thank them enough! They even send 'checking up' emails when something major happens...& the customer service is top notch!

Nothing but praise for Healthy Paws
Penny is my first dog ever, and I knew I wanted to purchase insurance but I was very confused about which to choose. After investigating my various options, I ended up picking Healthy Paws and I am SO THANKFUL that I did! Penny has been through a lot in the last few years (emergency gastrointestinal surgery, an extensive investigation into neurological issues that turned out to be liver disease, recent removal of a tumor in her mouth...) and I cannot say enough about how fantastic Healthy Paws has been every step of the way. From incredibly caring, kind, and responsive customer service representatives to a simple, clear, and straightforward claims submission/reimbursement process, I've never been less than 110% satisfied. I submit all of my claims online and the turnaround is always quick, and I am reimbursed for every cent that I had expected and hoped for - no surprises because I didn't read almost illegible fine print somewhere. They're truly outstanding - I got everything I could've hoped for and so much more with this insurance company. You never know what unfortunate circumstances you might encounter down the line when you first become a pet parent, and Healthy Paws gives me the ability to never have to make a decision on my little one's health based on finances alone. Hands Down--Best decision after I purchased my dog
When I first bought pet insurance I was made fun of by so many. Now, after going through 3 surgeries and 1 laceration repair, no one makes fun of me anymore. ASPCA has been the EASIEST insurance company I have ever worked with. I have submitted 3 claims online and been reimbursed with NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I recommend them to everyone.

Absolute Waste of Money
My dog has had insurance since she was a puppy. She is now 11. I have paid somewhere around $3,750 in fees since getting my dog's insurance through VPI, now Nationwide. My puppy was recently sick and her bill totaled about $800 dollars for two separate Vet visits. Since both of the visits were in the same 'claim period' my reimbursement was greatly reduced. This plan, that I have been paying on for the last 11 years, only reimbursed me $250.00 in TOTAL. So that leaves me with the remaining $550 Vet bill AND the disgust of knowing that I wasted $3750.00 paid over the last 11 years. Quite honestly, if I had to do this over, I would either choose a totally different provider or, open a 'special' savings for my pup and drop $10 in it each payday. If I had done that I would still have over $2000 in that special "vet" fund for her and I would not have thrown away $3750. AVOID this insurance, major ripoff.

Great coverages and fast claim payment !
My havanese has allergies and has been on a allergy serum now for about 3 or 4 years. I give her a small shot every Friday. All her allergy testing was covered by Embrace. And now all her allergy medications are covered as I purchased the additional prescription coverage, which I highly recommend. I use it all the time. Claims are always paid very very quickly! I highly recommend Embrace.

Excellent service but slow
I have started my 3rd policy with Pets Plus Us and I do love their service. I haven't had any problems with claims in the past and have received amazing service. My only concern right now is that they say underwriting is completed in 15-20 business days. This hasn't been the case for my last 2 policies. We're on business day 21 and it's looking like another week. I have an issue with this as I need to know that they're going to cover a condition that started right after the 14 day wait before I make any concrete treatment decisions. Technically it should be covered but I'm worried to commit to something before I have my policy in writing. I wish they would resolve these delays on the legal side as it is very stressful for the policy holder.
