No Regrets

We signed up for pet insurance when we got a standard poodle puppy, Katie. We have used it sporadically for the six year. She is now 7 years and had a bout with pancreatitis. The expenses of tests x-rays, and treatment are around $3000. ASPCA Pet Insurance has paid 80% of most of the expenses (except those that are above "customary" rates. We are retired folks living on limited income and this has been a life saver for us and Katie. Submitting a claim is easy and the reimbursement payments are made promptly.

Embrace Pet Insurance has great customer service

Embrace Pet Insurance has been fantastic so far. On-line submission of claims makes it easy. Customer service responds quickly and according to the policy. Costs to visit the vet have steadily risen over the years. Embrace is affordable and gives me confidence to know that if anything major we're to happen, we would be covered. And...it has helped with the common issues. I'm not hesitant to see the vet when we need to. Thank you Embrace!

I tell everyone to go to Trupanion

I truly don't have a single complaint. I can't say it's the cheapest insurance but as they say, you get what you pay for. I insured my fur-baby days after she came home. She was diagnosed with a liver disease a mere 2 months later. Trupanion paid for everything as promised, fast and without any arguments about what was covered or not. They continued to do so test after test, procedure after procedure. They checked in on her. They fixed errors in reimbursement almost the second they were identified. Best of all, they didn't increase my rates exponentially because I dated to use the insurance I purchased. I have not been let down by Trupanion yet. As her disease progresses, I know I can at least have one less thing I need to worry about and I couldn't be more grateful. It's heartbreaking enough without having to think about the financial component.

They pay less but we don't!

I just received an email from the company saying that after they did a 24 month review they are reducing their coverage from 80% to 50%. I called customer service and asked if I was being reduced because I was submitting claims and using the plan. They answered yes. Then I asked if it was true that I would not be getting a reduction in my premium. Again correct. I was told that in six months they would review it again and it may be changed again. I have had to switch companies before and now it looks like I will have to again which is too bad. For the most part they have not been unreasonable.

Great Service

I have been using Embrace beginning with our first Berner, 7 years ago. They have always been very responsive and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Embrace for anyone with a pet!

Worth the extra money

Was hesitant about getting insurance for my dog. Have never needed in the past and figured what the hell. What made my select these guys is the pay out with no limits. I got to put it to the test 8 months in when my pup ate two large socks and had a minor obstruction. $3500 later I get a check for 90% -$500 deductible. Currently I am using the insurance monthly due to allergies my golden has. Everything from his bathing supplies and medication and shots are all covered. I would not hesitate getting insurance again has saved me a boat load.

Trupanion: shines light into dark times.

I completed a spreadsheet to calculate the amount I would spend on insurance premiums over 18 years and the amount actually spent on cats who have been pets in my family over the past 30 years. Even the cats who only went to the veterinarian during their last year of life, I discovered that bills for gum infection and other treatable conditions that are increasingly common in cats over age 10, cost more than insurance premiums alone over the lives of those cats. In other words, 10 years of premiums costs less than veterinary bills for treatable conditions in the 11th year. My cat, Freddy, was my family's first pet with health insurance. He received cancer treatment during his 16th year of life. He completed treatment. He lived for 13 months with zero vet visits and no obvious symptoms. He died at almost 18 years old. I have two cats now who also get all the care they need.
