Thank goodness for Healthy Paws!
When we got our dog Frank from a well established breeder, we never dreamt that we would be faced with thousands of dollars in medical expenses in the first six months of welcoming him into our family. Frank has been such a great addition and we love him very much but unfortunately, he has a fairly bad immune system and we have made countless trips to the vet. Our vet recommended pet insurance at our first visit with Frank and to be honest, I never thought we would have to use it. I could not have been more wrong. Frank has had pretty much every diagnostic test you can imagine. He's been on several antibiotics and for a while it felt like we were spending more time at the vets office than not. Seeing him in pain and sick is stressful enough but having to shoulder the financial burden of a sick pet makes it even worse. Working with Healthy Paws through all of our claims has been so easy. Filing claims is all done online and they are generally processed within a few days. The only time it took longer than that was with our first claim because Frank's medical history needed to be retrieved from the vet. We have received all of our reimbursement checks incredibly fast, as well. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Healthy Paws.

Get this insurance for your pet
I signed up because I didn't ever want to be put into the position of having to decide about whether or not to have a procedure for my dog based on its cost. Truthfully, I was always skeptical about whether these people would ever pay a claim and wondered if it was all a scam. It's no scam. My dog recently had very expensive heart surgery (doing fine now) and they paid everything they were supposed to ($7K out of $8K). I couldn't endorse these people more highly. My dog has better health insurance than I do.

Amazing Coverage and Responsiveness
Our baby puppy was so sick and needed emergency surgery and to stay in the ICU. Trupanion was right there by our sides and as soon as we submitted the bills we were reimbursed so quickly, within 5 days! Additionally, as the puppy's infection spread to a different area Trupanion still covered his 5 day stay in the ICU! If we didn't have the coverage from Trupanion we probably would not have been able to keep the puppy alive financially. It is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Our puppy is going to recover and live and normal healthy life all because of what this insurance company could do for us. Thank you Trupanion!

Excellent support and service!
We purchased insurance when our puppy was 4 months old, we had never had pet insurance before but our vet recommended it. It's something you never want to have to actually use. Then in a few months we found ourselves in a terrible situation and didn't even know if our puppy was going to live. Trupanion supported us with kindness and professionalism. Fortunately the expensive medical care that our puppy needed was covered and Trupanion stayed with us to make sure of that.
