Healthy Paws-- a real lifesaver!
When Linus, a Coton de Tulear joined our family four years ago I made sure on investing on a good Pet insurance. I looked into a lot of insurers and decided to take a chance with Healthy Paws. I have to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Healthy Paws has been such a blessing to us and Linus. They have come through for us in spades in two major health issues with our beloved pet. The first one was major stomach issue which required an endoscopy costing over two thousand dollars. At first, we were unsure whether Healthy Paws would actually reimburse the covered amount....and if so maybe the reimbursement would take ages. Nothing could be further from the truth. After submitting the invoices the funds came in less than a week, with no hassles or drama. The second unfortunate incident happened about a month ago when Linus was diagnosed with a herniated disc (Intervertebral disc extrusion). He was in danger of having his hind legs paralyzed and required immediate surgery. Upon hearing the entire cost of the procedure (MRI/Hemilaminectomy), our knees sort of buckled but we felt renewed hope knowing that Healthy Paws was going to be there for us. Thank God the procedure was a success and Linus is no longer in pain and recovering well. All throughout the process we were confident that Healthy Paws was going to back us up all the way. We even received a thoughtful email ten days after the surgery, checking in on Linus' progress! Through their help we will be able to enjoy more priceless years with our dear Linus. Healthy Paws is a cut above the rest and I would absolutely recommend them to any new or existing pet owner. Their customer service is exceptional and reliability is nothing short of outstanding. They don't just offer insurance but the peace of mind that they'll be there for you and your pet in the most trying of times.

FRUSTRATED WITH TRUPANION
This is our 3rd claim that has been DENIED by trupanion. This time it if for a new episode of cough, unrelated to kennel cough 6 months ago, and they denied the claim saying it was "there before." They treated this cough with antibiotics also, but our dog is vaccinated for kennel cough now and this is a new episode. I actually thought she could be joking on something. Today I received an email denying my claim. At this rate, it will be cheaper to stop the insurance and just pay cash. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with trupanion. Oh, and I'm a doctor. So I know how this insurance thing should work.

Quick, no hassle claim service & helpful reps
I have had Pets Best for 5 years--switched from ASPCA. I changed because Pets Best offered better value IMO. Never had a claim that met the deductible until recently. Claim form was so brief, I did not know what to do. I had expenses from multiple providers. I called, the rep said use one form or multiple, whatever was easiest for me. I used one and faxed it and my receipts. Got email confirmation of receipt in 2 business days. Claim was processed and paid in a week. Website is clean and easy to navigate. Claim info is printer friendly. And, last but not least, reps are kind, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They can help you choose the best policy as well as explain claim processing. I will definitely stick with Pets Best for any future pets and would recommend it to anyone with pets they love. Affordable coverage there when you need it most.

Excellent!
Trupanion was excellent when I made my claim for Harley. He needed both knees operated on as he could barely walk. They paid right away and when the surgeon needed a quote pre-approved they got right back to him. Very impressed!

We have had ASPCA Pet insurance since the beginning of 2017 now and we have been very pleased so far. We made one claim for my dog's spay and it was completely covered and I got a check sent to me with no issues! I would highly recommend this pet insurance for your furry family member! When having to speak to the customer service representatives, they have always been very friendly.

NOT WORTH THE COST OR HEADACHE
(Short story) READ, READ READ THE FINE PRINT, AND ASK ASK ASK QUESTIONS AND GET THEM TO EMAIL THEIR ANSWERS TO YOU OTHERWISE YOU ARE UP THE CREEK WITHOUT A PADDLE. PRE EXISTING HAS A WIDE DEFINITION IN THIS COMPANY. WE HAD WEIGHED OUT MANY OPTIONS ON PET INSURANCE AND AFTER TALKING TO A REP AND GOING THROUGH THE HISTORY OF ONE OF OUR PETS AND POSSIBLE FUTURE THINGS THAT CONCERNED US WE WERE LED TO BELIEVE THAT WE REALLY HAD NO WORRIES OF ANYTHING PRE EXISTING EXCEPT FOR THE ONE SURGERY OUR DOG HAD. HA HA HA HA HA LAUGH ON US. OUR DOG HAD ANOTHER NECK INJURY BUT A DIFFERENT AREA AND GUESS WHAT, IT WAS CONSIDERED PRE EXISTING! THEY DIDN'T PAY THE CLAIM AND I HAD ALREADY INVESTED NEARLY $2000 IN THIS POLICY. AND THE WAIT TIME FOR AN ANSWER WAS RIDICULOUS NEARLY 4 WEEKS. AN ARTICLE CAME OUT IN THE NY TIMES LAST MONTH (FEB 17) I SAY FIND IT AND READ IT. ITS ABOUT PET INSURANCE AND THE OUTCOME OF THEIR RESEARCH INTO THE PET INSURANCE COMPANIES, IT SAYS YOU ACTUALLY COME OUT AHEAD BY SETTING UP AN EMERGENCY FUND FOR YOUR PETS TAKE THE PREMIUM YOU WOULD PAY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND PUT INTO A SAVINGS. THERE IS ALWAYS A GAMBLE WITH INSURANCE, BUT WHY GAMBLE. ITS NOT WORTH THE TIME OR EFFORT ESPECIALLY BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE OUTCOME. D E N I E D!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, INVEST IN YOUR PETS AND DONT GAMBLE IT ON INSURANCE. ****READ THE REVIEW FROM AUG 9TH A VETERINARIAN PROPECTIVE. INTERESTING AGAIN ON PRE-EXISTING !

My lab, Bailey was diagnosed with severe bi-lateral hip dysplasia at the age of 2. Luckily we discovered this early before too much pain set in as well as more complications. We saw a specialist and a total hip replacement was recommended. She is now 2 weeks post op and recovering well. Already wanting to play (but of course can't for another 6 weeks or so). I would not have been able to get her this specialized treatment without the help of Embrace. And for this, Bailey and my family and I thank you very, very much. Not to mention the staff is very friendly and caring :)
