I did refer a friend to Trupanion who is getting a new puppy late july, but it seems to be taking longer than usual to get reinbursed the money I put out of pocket.
I did refer a friend to Trupanion who is getting a new puppy late july, but it seems to be taking longer than usual to get reinbursed the money I put out of pocket. Other times I have used the insurance I received the money direct deposit in my account within 5-7 days after it was received. My claim was received on May 30th 2017. It is now June 9th and I called regarding this issue and was told it would be a few more weeks to process. Im not happy about that and I told a friend that they paid their claims fast, but now Im not so sure.

I have had an amazing time with Trupanion.
I have had an amazing time with Trupanion. Our 2 year old dog has a mast cell carcinoma on her neck. If we didn't have trupanion, we wouldn't have been able to opt for an MRI to get an exact diagnosis, and would have wasted time trying other treatments because cancer wasn't likely in a dog so young.

I was disappointed with the way that this insurance plan was presented to me.
I was disappointed with the way that this insurance plan was presented to me. Specifically in regards to the deductible - where I was told there was a $250 deductible. I wasn't informed that there's a $250 deductible for each separate incident - which greatly reduces the insurance company's responsibility and paying any claims. On the subject of claims, although the staff is always friendly - i'm reminded that I'm dealing with an insurance company whose goal is to pay as little as possible. Ultimately I'm glad I have insurance… But I wish it were consumer rather than company based.
