Why pets should have pet insurance
It is very important to have pet insurance!On April 15, 2017, I woke up and found vomit all over my pet's playpen and black diarrhea all over the carpet. I immediately took my pet to Emergency vet, and he was hospitalized. This was just the first of several visits to the vet. Within 2 months, he had many tests, including ultrasound, exploratory surgery, and implantation of a feeding tube in order to determine the problem and corrective action. The major tests/surgeries cost $6407.94. Trupanion reimbursed me $5252,07. I appreciate their support and prompt payment! Pet insurance really helped me and my poodle Amor!!

A Positive Insurance Process
I filed 2 claims with ASPCA. The first was for an initial vet visit for exam and bloodwork to determine why my cat was not feeling well and then a 2nd visit for a different blood panel. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis and required cortisone and a diet change. ASPCA received my claim and processed it very quickly. I received my portion back within a week. I also received a call from ASPCA asking how my cat was doing and a card with a hand written note thanking us for being a customer. I was very pleased with the process, customer service and the personalized approach. I have recommended them to others with animal companions.

Lucky Stars When we got Tucker at three months old, We debated about getting pet insurance. We had signed up for the free thirty day trial. As the thirty days were coming to a close we asked some of our friends what they thought of pet insurance. Well one friend strongly recommended that we get the insurance while a couple others were indifferent. We no sooner signed up for insurance that within five days we unexpectantly got to use it. Tucker fell down the stairs had a compound fracture which required surgery. Following the initial x-ray we were presented with a $5,000. bill for the cost of the surgery. Thank our lucky stars that we had the Trupanion pet insurance, as they stepped right in and paid most of the bill. Not only did it save us a us a lot of money there wasn't any hassle in receiving the check. We strongly recommend pet insurance as you never know when you might need it.

It took a couple days to find what …
It took a couple days to find what exactly was wrong with Lucy, she had broken a disc in her back and was getting paralyzed. Dogs don't cry out when in pain they sit and avoid human contact. We knew something was wrong because she let us pick her up but acted different, spent most of her time hiding. She had surgery on her back and is great. Without Trupanion it would not have been possible because of the financial cost. Trupanion continues to pay for her meds each month that she will probably take the rest of her life. You will never know when your dog will be hurt or sick and you will have to make that critical choice, if you love your pet you must have medical insurance for your loved pet.
