Well I haven't used it yet so I hope its great I have been looking for pet insurance for my Lilly that I can afford so I will have to get her flea medicine its Braveto I hope it pays and her Ivertheart worm pills also. I will let u know more

Claim issue
My cat had a resporptive tooth and had to have it extracted. Curously enough, the claims for his post op lab work and post op appt were both paid toward the deductible, so Pets Best did not have to reimburse me. THEN, when he had the actual surgery, they all of a sudeen need medical records (which by the way I already uploaded to the website) because they would have ended up having to pay out some of it (it was over $2300). My cat has had this insurance for years and I have yet to see any reimbursement.

Spot has taken the stress away from providing my dog with good care. The process is straight forward. Reimbursement turn around time is good.

Do not use for rescue pets
Do not use for rescue pets. Upon adoption (at 12 weeks, after finding in neglectful conditions and through a reputable rescue agency) I took my dog for an initial vet visit because he was scratching his ears and shaking his head. He and his litter mates had all been covered in urine, feces, and dirt upon rescue. It's not a wonder he developed an infection. This one visit in 2023 (and honest disclosure of said visit) has now rendered my policy void against ANY ear infections or allergies. Do not use this company for rescues, or enroll the day you get a pet, or sadly, delay vet care for your pet, otherwise this company will use it against you YEARS later when you try to submit claims for an allergy. I tried submitting claims in January 2026 and was denied.

I have used a number of pet insurances in the past and none of them were as good as Spot insurance. So far, I have had nothing but good experiences. They paid the claims fairly fast and seemed to be very honest. And make the process as easy as possible.
