Healthy Paws Insurance is WORTH IT
I cannot even express how THANKFUL I am for Healthy Paws. My 3yr kitty named Jacob all of a sudden became so so sick. His fever touched 105.6. They thought his liver, pancreas, and gallbladder was failing. He had to be in the hospital for 5 days/nights.
.... it was almost 10k. right?
But Healthy Paws came to the rescue and was able to reimburse a large portion of that bill.
If you are on the edge about getting the insurance... DO IT.
You will not regret it.
While my Australian Shepard, Zoey, was having her teeth cleaned an x-ray confirmed that she had a cracked tooth that needed to be extracted. In addition, surgery to remove a small, precancerous mass on her eyelid was also removed at that time. This routine dental cleaning turned into a pretty expensive medical bill.
I did quite a bit of research into pet insurance before selecting Healthy Paws to insure my three dogs. The process for submitting this claim to Healthy Paws was very easy and I was impressed with how promptly the claim was reviewed and I was quickly reimbursed for the extraction and surgical procedures covered by the plan.

Trupanion helped us and our dog through a difficult time.
Our dog Willow was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Luckily, the prognosis with radiation was good -- the potential for a return to normal life for several years. So, we agreed to have the procedure, which cost $19,000. It went well, but during the anesthesia Willow caught a bacterial pneumonia, a common risk with dogs suffering neurological conditions while under. This additional treatment ended up costing $6,000. We got Willow home and she is doing well. Within one week, Trupanion had processed both claims and paid 90 percent of the costs (after our deductible) -- exactly as they said they would. There was no hassle, no haggling, no anything. I recommend them without reservation. You will get the coverage you agree to, and the customer service people will be kind to you when you interact with them. Which is pretty much the best thing you can say about an insurance company.
I purchased pet insurance when we got our puppy 2 years ago. Recently, our now 2 year old dog fell really ill. We had to go through 3 days of testing and it was expensive. We were grateful that we had insurance and each day, after the testing, I uploaded the invoice, the vet uploaded the notes and very quickly I received confirmation that the claim was being reviewed. Within 24 hours of each claim (there were 4 in total) I received notification that the claim had been processed and all I need to do now is wait for the checks. What was a very stressful time was made a little easier by the ease of filing the insurance claims and knowing our policy would pay their portion.
We have had Pets Best for 3 years and completely satisfied. My Golden just went thru dental surgery and I was completely satisfied with the results from my claim. Took about 4 weeks but was handled very professionally. Very happy with the policy.
I have been extremely satisfied with Healthy Paws! My puggle Emmi has had several surgeries for her mast cell cancer-which has come back several times. Healthy Paws quickly processes my claims and is very up front with their extremely fair reimbursement amount for services. Pet insurance has allowed me to take the best care of Emmi that I can. Purchased a policy from Lemonade for our new golden retriever puppy. I chose 100 000$ with 250$ deductible and wellness plan. Total monthly cost 55$. The puppy had his physical and shots last night. I filed a claim to be reimbursed for parasite test and 3 vaccines. The claim was approved in 5 secs. So far I am very impressed and pleased. Claim was very easy to file thru the app.
