Great customer service and overall value!
I decided to look into pet health insurance for my dog after a trip to the vet post-snake bite cost me $2,500. I did some shopping around, as there are lots of options out there nowadays. Healthy Paws seemed like a great plan because there weren't as many limitations on coverage. I went with the 80% plan, and boy, am I glad I did. Not but a year later did my dog tear his ACL and needed surgery. It was a no-brainer for me to get him the surgery because I knew Healthy Paws would cover 80% of the $5,000 surgery based on my plan. They were super responsive once I submitted my claim, and the money was deposited into my bank account within one week. Fast forward another year later, my clumsy dog tears his other ACL! So once again, here we were, another no-brainer. Same experience the second go around, and I'm SO grateful to have gone with Healthy Paws the past couple years, where I can put all my energy into rehabbing my doggy and not into claims messes. Thank you, Healthy Paws!!!

Why doesn't everyone have pet insurance?
Lately, I've been telling everyone, "Get Pet Insurance!" My husband and i decided to invest in pet insurance on a whim. We had the thought, "What if?" Unfortunately, "What If" happened . . . without Nationwide Pet Insurance, I would not be able to afford my current vet bills and I would have had to let my precious Mercedes go before I truly felt she was ready. Thank you, Nationwide. Thank you for peace of mind at not a high cost.

Excellent customer care
Excellence. Quite unbelievable in todays age of recorded voice services. A real human picked up the phone. I spoke with a genuinely caring compassionate client rep who took me through the steps and comforted me in light of my puppy's truly awful accident and subsequent injury. I could barely hold back the tears during the conversation and Trupanion came through not part of the way or all the way but 150% of the way. They took care of all the medical expenses which were steep as my puppy needed reconstructive plates and pins surgery, all the medications and the upcoming physical therapy. Can't say enough goodness about my experience. They came through for me when I needed them the most!

We're SO pleased with the ease and value of this service
Exceptional, but we pay for the best plan. the major concern is that we were just given notice that the price has almost doubled - so we'll shop other carriers. it's disappointing, and we're not sure why the rate went from sixty-something to over one hundred something dollars. He's 3, and he's getting a lot easier. We pay in MUCH more than we ever get back or spend, so it's getting unbalanced. but, if you want insurance and don't mind paying... it IS just in case something catastrophic happens... and you never know with hunting/running dogs. this company is FANTASTIC. they make it so easy.
