Not dependable, corrupt, doesn't give you what you signed up for.
I won't get into details as it's the same review scades of others on this site have given. In order to avoid having to pay, this company will twist around whatever your pet is experiencing, to link it to some preexisting condition (even if it's unrelated). No wonder their rating is so abysmal!

Adopted a 17 week old cat two weeks before signing up for insurance and they won’t help with intestinal issues he’s developed after signing up with them. Completely worthless. When only 2% of pet owners actually decide to carry pet insurance, you’d think they would be more willing to help people who immediately get insurance after adopting.

Great
We had rescued a pitbull and had gotten the insurance through our vet and it's the best decision we ever made. Our pit had sooo many problems but trupanion paid 90% of all her bills. There was an initial deduction per issue but if reoccurring no questions asked and we always received a check within the week. Their customer service is fantastic and you always talk to a person. They paid for the stay while recovering after surgery and when she passed they sent a card. Really can't say enough great things.

Reimbursement very quickly
I'm currently waiting for one claim to be processed but the first claim I filed was very easy and I felt I received the reimbursement very quickly.

Pets Best paid the claim
My dog started losing her hair and gaining weight so vet did blood test to check thyroid. Once they diagnosed the thyroid it is necessary to take meds to determine if dosage is correct. This procedure had to be done via blood tests for three months. My insurance claim was for blood tests and medication. Pets Best paid the claim.
