Difficult to work with! I have heard through asking around our pet neighborhood that Embrace should not be used. my vet said you
Difficult to submit claims. Does not want to pay. Asks the vet question after question. General Exam mouth and teeth normal. Needs Dental checked number 2...means normal for a dog 2 years old. The vet looks at whiteness, , tartar, and gums. My vet said this normal for a dog and not pre-existing. Do not get pet insurance from Embrace, you will be angry for all the time spent trying to get reimbursed and they do not know how to read claims. I am a QA person for healthcare and believe me they are getting fired!

Nationwide Pet Insurance is no fuss
We’ve had several claims that have gone through easily. If I were to change anything, I wish the turnaround time was a little quicker. It does take a couple weeks to get reimbursed. Other than that everything has been great. The apps make it extremely easy to use.

Please Be More Stable With Premium Increases
My "major" concern involves the recent price increase in premiums, nearly double for the wellness plan. I was floored by this type of increase. Your reply was that we asked the states for this amount and they approved it. Good for you - but bad for the consumer. In addition, I was told that because my dog was one year older that there was a rate increase, in addition to the large increase. I understand that you are a business with stock holder interest, but if "Nationwide is on your side" is your mantra, you sure failed with this one. Good for the share holders, BAD for pet owners. Imagine the out cry if you raised your human health care insurance as much! Yes, the wellness coverage is the Mercedes Benz of pet coverage, but we are talking about protecting out pets and I would hope that you would show more compassion to pet owners across the board.

Pet Insurance Review
We made the decision more than a year ago to buy insurance for our aging Doberman. Given that he is a pure-bred we were concerned about breeding issues and hereditary conditions. We decided to go with ASPCA, not only because we have donated money and supplies to ASPCA over the years, but also because they covered hereditary conditions. Now that our baby is starting to show signs of aging, we are taking him to his veterinarian more often. Without this insurance plan, we would not have been able to cover some of the cost, especially with diagnostic testing and medications, which can be quite expensive. I am grateful to the insurance plan for covering 90% of the cost of our baby's care.
