Amanda was absolutely fantastic
Amanda was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we met her, she radiated energy and enthusiasm. Her helpful nature made us feel instantly at ease. Amanda took the time to thoroughly explain all the details of the insurance policy, ensuring we fully understood everything. She made both my husband and I feel incredibly secure and confident in our decision. Her dedication and positive attitude truly set her apart. We are so grateful for her assistance and couldn't be happier with our experience. Highly recommend Amanda for anyone looking for an outstanding insurance agent!

New rescue pup, same good insurance.
Embrace was an excellent choice years ago when I first signed up my new rescue pup. He's gone now - after 14 great years together. When I registered my new rescue pup, I had the same great experience. I hope I never have to use the accident and illness insurance, but the peace of mind of having it is priceless.

If I could give negative stars I would
If I could give negative stars I would. We’ve been paying a monthly premium on our 3 cats for 4 years. Cats we’ve had for 9 years, adopted from little kittens. When our cat Titus took ill with bladder stones and a blocked urethra, it cost over $4000. And healthy paws refused to cover any of it. We would be better off not paying the premiums and just save our own money. If you’re going to take money for coverage and then not pay for medical treatment, you’re just stealing from people. They paid for some treatments for our other cat when he was having seizures, so why they won’t pay now is beyond me.

Premiums doubled
This company more than doubled their premiums in a single year. They also apply the “pre-existing condition” to everything because it “could have began before the policy”. They also argued with my vets, citing “expert sources”.

Not happy with the cancellation …
Not happy with the cancellation process. I sent emails and cancelled through my account before the renewal and was still charged for 2 months after, via my credit card.I was told I should have called! I would be very careful if you need to cancel it. I am only getting a partial refund.

Rebecca was awesome !!
Rebecca was awesome on the phone and helped me navigate which policy would be best for our new puppy! After my online research of best pet insurance companies and rates/coverages it was nice to have her help me unpack all of that information and make a decision. These days great customer service is hard to come by but Rebecca was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Employer-sponsored plan is well worth it
We have an employer-sponsored plan which Nationwide calls "My Pet Protection". This review only speaks to that plan and not Modular, Major Medical, or Whole Pet. Let's get the negative out of the way. In the 4+ years we have had the plan, the premiums have more than increased significantly from the high-$30s/mo to about $120/mo, which is still surprisingly well-priced for the benefits ($7500 yearly max coverage and 90% reimbursement). Claims are handled quickly once submitted via their portal and Nationwide has been good about quite a few claims we have submitted months later. As our pup got up in age, she developed cancerous tumors that were removed, but then required recurring oncology visits and chemotherapy. Nationwide covered and reimbursed at 90% including the chemo. I definitely recommend Nationwide if your employer partners and sponsors their vet insurance. I'm not sure at this time if the "My Pet Protection" plan still reimburses at 90%, but it has been journey to go through cancer/chemo with our pup, but a relief to have this particular pet insurance plan through Nationwide.

What an absolute waste of money
What an absolute waste of money. I've been with them since 2022 and so far, between their annual deductible requirment and what they eventually pay out... It's just not worth the time or expense. Better off just putting away ~$100/month into a 'self-pet-insurance' savings account making todays rate of ~6%. This will pay out WAY better than ASPCA or any pet insurance unless your pet has some kind of debilitating illness... Then maybe but the jury is still out on that one as well based on my experience so far.
