They've been great.

I have a 2 yr old lab cross. Diagnosed with lymphoma at 18 months. Trupanion has covered all diagnostics and chemotherapy treatment costs (except examinations).

Quick response with fast payout

This definitely helps pay the bills, even if just for annual wellness exams.

My experience with ASPCAPet insurance

Dear Customer Service: I have been very pleased with your pet insurance so far. The claims that I have had to file have been attended to promptly. I have also been very pleased with the reimbursements. I have told all my friends who have pets about your company. I also encourage anyone who is considering obtaining pet insurance for their animals, to contact your company before making a final decision. I also think you should contact veterinarians and send them your brochures to put in their offices, as that is how I originally found out about you. Thanks, again, for being there for my three dogs. Sincerely, Patricia

Efficient and friendly service

Pancho was rescued when he was a three month old Pomeranian mix puppy. Although he had not been very well taken care of, I thought that if he was given a quality diet in a clean and friendly environment, we would be able to avoid future health problems. But with poor little Pancho, if it isn't one thing, it is another. Shortly after bringing him home, I researched various pet health insurance companies. Embrace stood out because of their allowances and coverage policies. Getting the vet's office to submit claims when Pancho came down with a problem was the hardest part. Once the vet took seriously the fact that Pancho had health insurance, there was no problem getting reimbursed for the actions the had to take to test and remedy the problems Pancho has had. Now, Pancho seems to be in good health. I am very thankful that Embrace has been there for both of us. This pet insurance has given Pancho a better, healthier life than he would have had without Embrace.

Not what is says it is

When my boxer was 6 months old, he hurt his back from the other boxer jumping on him. They did it again a month later. I took my dogs in for shots and he was checked out. No problems. I saw the pamplet for ASPCA insurance, so I got it. 2 months later, my dogs had a fever and sore neck and back. This was totally different from the other episodes. I took him to the vet and after many test found out he had spinal menigitis. When I put in the claims, equaling about $7500, they denied it saying it was pre-existing. There are no records of the dog having pain associated with fever in anywhere. I could not have let my dog go 4 moths with this disease. Then they said it was hereditary also. I found many articles saying it is unknown what triggers this disease and it cannot be classified as hereditary, plus I talk to specialists and other veterinarians, but they still denied my claim. Make sure you know what they consider hereditary, genetic or what other ways they can turn it around to their benefit.

They are FANTASTIC!!!

I've insured my two Italian Greyhounds with Pets Best for just over a year. Unfortunately, I've had two incidents with my girls that required expensive treatment. In both cases, Pets Best greatly exceeded my expectations wrt speed of claim processing!!! If only human insurance providers were so capable and competent!!

Paid for itself in one year

Last year after donating to the ASPCA I received information regarding their pet insurance and decided that it was finally time to sign up my two cats. They were both healthy at the time but one was getting older and I figured I'd rather have it and not need it. About six months later my cat was diagnosed with diabetes and the costs associated were pretty expensive but the pet insurance kicked right in, submitting claims was incredibly easy, and, if need be, you can get someone on the phone to help very quickly and they are very pleasant and helpful. I opted for a primary plan with continuing care for the one cat and it has already paid for itself several times over. They pay a good percentage of the actual cost, incuding medications, and you receive a check pretty quickly once you submit the claim. I had one charge that they declined to cover- I called and explained that the charge was related to the cat's diabetes, resubmitted the claim and received payment within a couple weeks. I really couldnt recommend this pet insurance enough!

Glad I have Pet Insurance

We just got insurance for our 4 month old Cavalier King Charles and I'm really happy that we have it. We've only submitted claims for flea and tick prevention and his last set of shots, but we Pets Best is reimbursing us for most of the shot expense and some for the flea pills. Their turn-around time was impressive and I'm glad we have the insurance.

Much better than the alternatives

I previously had SPCA pet insurance and Embrace is much better. They offer many different customizable levels of coverage and they are generally quick about paying claims. Perhaps the best part is that they cover conditions that most companies will not cover (hip dysplasia in labs for instance).

I wish my own health insurance was so prompt!

Unlike human health insurance companies (oh, how I wish!), Embrace offers attentive, prompt, friendly, and thorough service. However, I do wish there wasn't such a small cap on the Wellness coverage. We got our Cavalier puppy when she was 5 months old, so after 1 vet checkup as our pet, with a few necessary shots and a heartworm medicine purchase (which I haven't yet submitted as of this writing), there isn't much left in the kitty, so to speak. And she'll need a Lyme booster next week, and will be spayed next month. So we'll really be out of pocket this year and our coverage just started! Therefore, while I would recommend Embrace highly for their excellent customer service, as the owner of a puppy, who because of her age (or youth) requires additional basic wellness care (shots, spaying) than an older dog might, The $149 Wellness coverage that reimburses up to a maximum of $200 a year, is not that much of a bargain. Perhaps Embrace might consider adding a "puppy plan" that dog owners can tailor to their needs. :)-
