Great Customer Service

I put in a claim form and had the wrong claim at the veterinary clinic. So, when I emailed Embrace. They sent me the correct form, but I have been tied up working. Therefore, as a complimentary to me they allowed my claim to go through today, which is within 2 weeks. And I have direct deposit so it will be in my account within 2 days. It was the standard orthopedic exam, vaccination shots, and wellness. A tip for owners-Always keep accurate notes on your animal, keep receipts, always ask questions, and keep your animal up to date with vaccinations. This company has assisted me when I put in my paperwork without having a chance to fill out my claim form. They expedited my claim at a very fast rate with direct deposit. I am very pleased with the customer service experience and recommend this company to any pet owner, which I have been doing so. Thank you so much Embrace!

Trupanion Canada - excellent insurance

My dog was diagnosed by her verterinarian with distichia and referred us to an opthamologist - the opthamologist rediagnosed my dog with ectopic cillia and the surgery was done. Her original vet had told me that her pet insurance wouldn't cover any cost for this as it's a congenital disorder, well, he was wrong. My claims have been processed and Trupanion covered the costs. For my first time actually using my dog's insurance, Trupanion has made it a positive experience!

Hallowe'en: My Late CAT Named "PUMPKIN"

Although there is the deductible, I do find that my expenses are balanced by the veterinary costs and piece of mind. I get the peace of mind knowing that extraordinary expenses will be covered. I hope that does not happen of course but it did for my late cat named "Pumpkin" who developed lung cancer. I forget the veterinary costs but they were considerable and then I decided I did not want to prolong the illness's effects on her...I had told my vet to put her down the moment it seemed she was showing signs of "drowning slowly" because of fluid build up in the lungs. The insurance covered all those expenses too. Pumpkin did live several years after diagnosis, and I remember seeing her leap up high in mid air to chase a butterfly just after I had told my guests that my cat is diagnosed with lung cancer. We all laughed because there was so much life in her still. Thinking about all the great memories I have with "Pumkin" reminded me of Hallowe'en. I have begun the practice of keeping my recent 2 cats in for both the night before and the night of Hallowe'en. I had read somewhere in a newspaper that there a some very sadistic members of society that would think nothing or hurting, maming or even practicing rituals on cats. For this reason, I have become very protective and set up a "sanctuary" in my home and choose one room for this. I have a litter box, food, water and a closed door with ventilation in the room. This way I don't have to worry the cats will get outsid

A Trusted Name in Pet Insurance

After adopting Trixie (a black three legged kitten) and Alice (a Maine Coon mix), we decided on securing coverage for them in the event of accidents or illness. After doing some research, we felt the best choice for us would be coverage offered through the ASPCA. The premiums were reasonable and the coverage was perfect for our needs. In addition we went with a name that defines the care of animal companions. Luckily both "kids" are very healthy and we have only had to submit one claim for each of them over the past three years. Both were paid in a fair and timely manner. The peace of mind this coverage offers is invaluable. What with skyrocketing vet costs, at least a portion of the expenses will be recouped, and we will always be able to give our girls the best of care.

Claims paid efficiently but benefits reduced

We have a Pug who this year had a rash of illnesses, from ear and eye infections, to a urinary tract infection, to broken teeth. We filed five claims and each was paid efficiently. There were some exclusions that had been made clear in the policy, and we understood them. The only problem we had was with the reduced amount paid due to the companies use of the provision "customary fee". They have a schedule of "reasonable charges" based on geographical areas, but certainly for our city, their chart is woefully incorrect. Our experience has been that charges considered can be reduced 20-30% based on their formula. We surveyed Vets in our area and found our Vet's charges to be similar or less than others, and shared our findings with the company's representatives. They refuse to entertain the idea that their geographic chart of reasonable fees is incorrect for our area. Otherwise, we love the coverage and the people who have handled the claims. The representatives have called to ask about our dog's healing and to offer explanations about the claims process. Claims are processed quickly and checks are mailed out immediately after the claim determination.

Review of my plan

I have been satisfied so far with my experience with Embrace. I have been with you folks for about 3 years now. I do not know how you compare with other pet insurance companies...I do feel strongly that regardless of whether FDA approves it..supplements should be covered if prescribed by a vet and there is no medicine that matches pet's condition and FDA is certainly no stranger to bad drugs so do not think they should be any benchmark on safety or approval.

A Smart Decision

I have 3 dogs and never had to use my insurance until this August when my 4 yr old dog developed an unusual looking cancer? The presentation of his disease is not consistent with his biopsies and has taken alot of dectective work to find out if it is treatable. Embrace has paid for what they said they would and has made this whole process a little easier. The turn around time for the claims is about 3 weeks.

Save Money and Rest Easy

You can’t imagine what a lifesaver having pet insurance has provided. After spending over $1500 on one of my cats a few years ago, it became apparent that pet insurance was a necessary way to go. For those who can afford it, or even barely afford it, we all know that most of us would go to almost any length to pay for vetinary services for a sick pet – so, any way you slice it, you’re going to spend the money. Having the insurance, however, keeps you from having to go broke or into debt to do so. Recently one of my cats was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. If I didn’t have the insurance, that would have cost me over $2,000 to address. With the insurance, I only paid a fraction of that. It’s a great safety net, and, although I held my breath, ASPCA didn’t give me any trouble when it came to paying the claims!

The Best

When I was about to get a Chinese Shar-pei puppy I looked into pet insurance as the breed has a history of health problems. Embrace was the only company I found that would cover breeds specific/genetic problems so I went with Embrace. I was a little skeptical when I started to submit claims but honestly, I couldn't be happier. Embrace reimburses quickly and has never challenged a claim. In the first year my shar-pei has undergone 2 entropy surgeries, 1 bout of mange, 1 bout of hystiocytoma and Embrace didn't balk at any of it. I'll be staying with embrace for year 2 of my little girls life.
