Trupanion's insurance is paying according to the policy. It is a relief that I have this insurance since my dog was just diagnosed with a heart murmur. Since I have already met the $1000 deductible, most of my dogs vet costs and meds will be reimbursed to me at 90%. This is a huge relief and savings!!!

Taking cost out of care decisions
I insured my dog at 6 months old once I saw how much a part of our family he became. I knew that I would never want to have to tell my kids that I could not afford to give our dog the care he needed. Fast forward through eight healthy years. Now we are facing a cancer diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy in an otherwise healthy dog. Now I truly appreciate the peace of mind that comes with not having to consider the costs while making treatment decisions for him. Yes we will still have to pay our 10%, but that is possible. It is great that the payment is on the actual bill not the equivalent of reasonable and customary charges. The response time to claims and payment is really fast. The people I've spoken to have been very helpful. Even the claims email included wishes for my pet to feel better. I highly recommend and will definitely cover and future pet with Trupanian
