I got this insurance when my dog was about 8 months old. I added the hip dysplasia coverage and my total premium per month is $39.25. Thank god I did. Shortly after signing my pup up for Trupanion, we noticed she was walking a little funny and seemed to be having pain. My vet examined her and strongly suspected hip dysplasia but wanted an x-ray to verify. The x-rays were about $220 and she also had bloodwork done prior to the x-rays and sedation. Trupanion paid 90% of all the costs for this to diagnose the dysplasia. I then took her to the vet hospital at Michigan State University to see a specialist. We decided to get a total hip replacement. My pup had her right hip replaced two weeks ago by the best surgeon in the world (literally, the world) and the cost of the surgery and all of the meds, hospital stay, pre-op blood work, and x-rays of her elbows and hips came to just under $5000. Trupanion processed my claim in under a week. I already have my check and they paid 90%, almost $4500. I've had the policy for only 4 months and have paid under $200 in premiums. Trupanion has paid me close to $4800 already for her surgery, diagnostics, and medications for an ear infection and allergies. I couldn't ask for more. Truly amazing!

Having been put through the ringer over the past two years with my dog's undiagnosed "mystery" illness I appreciate very much the ease with which I'm able to submit & be reimbursed for multiple claims. Having had both other pet and horse insurance I can say from experience that Embrace is one of the best out there!

Trupanion has helped save my dog's life and has made this whole experience a lot easier for me. They have paid every claim I submitted so far in a timely fashion and I am confident that they will continue to do so, because Roxy's treatment is still in progress. She is now 12 and doing wonderful thanks to Trupanion and her vet clinic of course. Trupanion has paid out A LOT of money on her claims. This was the best thing I have ever done for my dogs. This could be the difference between treating and keeping your pet and having to have it PTS due to financial issues. The people are kind and responsive. In my opinion this is a great company.

Last month my puggle Chloe ate one grape that unfortunately fell on the floor. I remember reading in the ASPCA pamphlet that grapes/raisins can be extremely toxic to dogs. Since this happened on a Sunday, I called an emergency animal hospital in my area. They told me to bring her in immediately, since her kidneys could shut down.(even from one grape) Upon arriving the doctor told me that there was a chance that Chole would have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days hooked up to an I.V. if she wasn't able to expel the grape. The vet induced vomiting and thankfully Chole was fine and able to go home that night. I submitted my claim and was kept informed of its progress via e-mail. I received a reimbursement check in less than one month!

I have two dogs that are covered under embrace's pet insurance. Any time I have a claim, embrace always sends me an email confirmation which explains the claim as well as when I should hear back regarding reimbursement. One of my dogs broke his leg(and tore a couple of tendons). The vet charged me over $3500 for the surgery. Embrace, weekly sent me emails to tell me what the status of my claim was. Within a month they had reimbursed 80% of the money I paid. I have told many pet owners that embrace is a great insurance company and that they should have their pets under embrace's policies. Every customer service rep I have talked to has been so helpful, understanding and informative. Thank you so much for taking care of mine and my pet's needs
