Incredible. Made the care of my Doberman affordable after her diagnosis of lymphoma. With the proper care enabled by my policy, I was able to Cherish 4.5 more months with my beloved Leica. Thank you so much Embrace for being there for us during this difficult time.

Relief In a Time of High Stress
I just want to say "Thank You" to Trupanion. We have a 1 year old dog whose legs stopped working out of nowhere. In a mad scramble over the long weekend, we were eventually sent to a specialist care centre where a neurologist could take a look. Multiple tests were needed: MRI, spinal tap and joint tap. We were terrified of the costs and sick to our stomachs thinking there may be some loophole or issue with coverage. $5000+ dollars was terrifying, and we were already upset and worried about our poor sick dog. Trupanion responded almost instantly to the vets submission for coverage, and we could breath a huge sigh of relief that at least among our worries the financial burden of care wouldn't be one. I would highly recommend Trupanion to anyone.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
First, it took an extreme amount of time to process our claim. Second, most of the claims submitted were refused due to their explanation that our dog's ear infection was caused by a pre-existing condition, namely allergies, when in fact, it was misdiagnosed & became sever due to the presence of 3 different types of bacteria. how is having 3 bacteria a pre-existing condition? We did get our dog an allergy shot & medication for his paws ( he does lick his paws due to allergies) but I did specify that I was not claiming those charges. Were it not for our boy being 9 years old, I would look for different insurance for him. and now they are raising their rates for him because of his age.

Not a high price for piece of mind
I highly recommend the preventative package along with the standard insurance if you have a baby pup. It is so easy to work with this company and they truly cover everything they say. We have actually gotten more out of our policy than we paid for it with all of her standard shots, tests, etc. It makes vet visits much less stressful and you don't ever second guess doing what's best for your pet.

I have never been happier with a company ! Fast easy and the best pet insurance around ! Best customer service and always responds right away . You get your reimbursement not even a week after you submit it ! I am so grateful Especially more so since my dog just started receiving chemo and he is covered for everything ! Ultra sounds xrays blood etc! Def makes things a lot easier knowing i am Covered and can afford the chemo for my Pup ! Do not look further they are the best !

I have only started a policy for my 2 year old rescued dog. I took her to her to a clinic after only 2 weeks of adoption, so she would be current with all of her vaccines , full check up, and to make sure she Had no pre existing condition before stating a plan with trupanion. And the doctor was very clear saying my dog has NO PREEXISTING CONDITION. She asked me everything about my new dog, and she was adapting to her new house, diet etc... just like a normal doctor would do. I told her I had no idea what of food my dog was eating before we had adopted her but she was now eating a good quality of dog food( which I asked a vet to help me choosing the best option of dog food ). And because of the transition of a different diet, my dog had an upset stomach and puked 1 time. The doctor said it is absolutely normal and not to worry about. Sure enough , trupanion has listed my dog with a preexisting condition, stating DIGESTIVE ISSUE. I called them right away when I got my dogs coverage today, I was so disappointed, this is so frustrating. Why would they ever have this on my dogs policy if it is not their intention to NEVER COVER MY DOG FIR ANY DIGESTIVE ISSUE RELATED IN THE FUTURE. I am so glad I am reading all of these reviews here today. Because today is the first day of coverage, I haven’t used their plan yet, but I know this will be a huge issue down the road .... thank you so much for everybody who wrote in here. I am going to cancel this today . Please don’t bother replying to this , asking me to call and having someone to talk with and help me. I already called twice today, and was denied any help twice. My respond: THERE ARE NO NOTES FROM THE DOCTOR. The only note is from the tech. The only note from the doctor is that THERE IS NO PREEXISTING CONDITION, and specially no digestive issues. But trupanion used a note from a tech anyways...
