Overpriced + Bait and Switch Gougers.
No claims and dog completely healthy. My vet recommended when my dog was a puppy so I signed up without comparison shopping. At year 6, they raised the rate from 700 for 5k a year coverage with a 500 deductible to 1000 a year for the same. Seemed outrageous to pay 1k a year for 5k insurance so I got comparison quotes. First one was 650 per year for 10k coverage with a 250 deductible. Twice the coverage for 35 percent less cost!!!! These clowns are price gouges who will obviously hike your rates through the roof when your dog gets old enough to possibly make a claim. Adios gougers!

Very slow to pay claims
Very slow to pay claims. This isn’t just due to COVID. Same long wait to process a simple claim as it was in OCT of 2019. Always Say they have too many claims to process. Perhaps they should hire more people as they don’t have too few employees to process taking your payment each month.

BEST PET INSURANCE EVER ,HEALTHY PAWS SAVED MY BABIES LIFE
hi 🙂 I'm maya's mom,she's my beautiful baby of 11y.o (German shepherd) she's been with me through thick and thing , 3 months ago she started having blood inside her and that cut me by surprise, because she's been a healthy baby 🐶 so first we took her to emergency care and they thought it was gonna go away in 2 weeks , wrong , the blood never went away , so we took her to our regular vet and as soon as he saw her , he told me ,you have to take care to the eye specialist 😔 my heart stopped, we went and she told me that maya had lost her vision on her left and she didnt know why, they did all the test that they're supposed to do , but didn't find any answers,so I asked her if it wasn't painful if she can keep her eye ,and she said for now is not but it'll be,she was right, after 4 weeks maya woke up at 3 am with the eye swollen and I can tell she was in pain , so we went back ready to make the decision to take her eye out and it was heartbreaking 💔 to think that my baby had to go through that, but it was for the best , she was ready to have the surgery and the eye care called 💔 they've said that maya was having an arrhythmia with the pre anesthesia, we took her to the emergency cardiologist and i thought the worst, thankfully she was ok and did a lot test just to make sure she was gonna be ok the next time we try to do the surgery,not only we were dealing with the pain of my baby losing an eye not knowing why, and possibly having a tumor inside her eye , but the financial worry was killing us, I called healthy paws to make sure everything was gonna be covered and they've said of course , to not worry about the money and to try to give my baby maya the best care that we could, so she went for surgery 2 weeks ago , everything went ok this time , and they send the eye to pathology and yes , it was ablittle tumor stage 1 😲 thankfully it didn't spread outside the eye , so shes good no cancer cells, no tumor 🙌🐶 by the end of the day we saved 90% of the whole thing, and if I didn't have healthy paws we weren't be able to pay for this ,I've been with healthy paws for the past 8 years or so , and never disappoint , they have the best costumer service ,fast and friendly, they make you feel like they're family, and worry about you're pet ,they know pets are family 💖🐶💖 now my baby maya is safe and still beautiful 💖🐶💖 and I have a piece of mine that God forbid something happens in the future they will be there again ❤ 💖🐶💖
