Horrible rate changes without reason
We’ve had our 1 year old cat on a Trupanion plan for about 6 months now. His deductible is $350 with 90% coverage. We recently went to add on the exact same plan for our new cat and the monthly price was higher by almost $30. In order to get it to the same monthly price as my first cat I would’ve had to raise the deductible by like $400. The cats are both male and both domestic shorthair within the same age range. I just don’t see a reason for that large of a price jump and deductible change. I contacted support about it and all they could let me know was that “their rates change everyday.” Call me broke, but I think that’s crazy.

worst insurance - do not waste your time or money -
ALL claims are denied on the pet having a prior SYMPTOM prior to policy's effective date. It's a loophole not to pay! If your pet ever had vomiting, diarrhea, or itching, and it's listed as a symptom in any NEW doctor visit, IT WILL BE DENIED because it is a prior SYMPTOM. EXAMPLE: puppy ate something, took him to the vet because he was vomiting and had diarrhea. Insurance will NEVER cover ANYTHING that he gets that has diarrhea or vomiting.

Unfortunately I trusted Costco when I…
Unfortunately I trusted Costco when I signed up for this health insurance for my dog. Each time I send a claim, it comes back denied. When I call them they never know why is denied. They want notes from the Vet which is on the invoice and discharge paperwork. They still insist that they need more paperwork. They also charged us more for deductible because I went on my own to look for the a policy from them online and it was half deductible than the one they offered when I got it through Costco. Very awful customer service, everything is denied. They barely answer emails. I cannot believe this company hasn't gone out of business yet.
