Very pleasant and good experience.

Our 2.5 miniature dachshund had a cervical disk rupture and has been diagnosis with IVDD. We had a middle of the night emergency trip to the vet, followed by appointments with the neurologist specialists, a CT scan, surgery and over a week total in intensive care. Trupanion was really great with our claim. We were pre-approved for the surgery and all care prior. They sent the pre-approval within 12 hours which was great. All cheques were received in a week. They paid out the full 90% and there was very little deductions (consults etc). My only comment would be that if there was an option to pay slightly extra month so that Trupanion would also cover the government taxes on the total, we would go for that – as on a bill of over $10,000, taxes in British Columbia (12%) really add up. All in all, the experience was a 10 out of 10 and I can’t imagine not having the coverage as it allowed us to get the best service for our dog without worrying about the cost (who by the way, 2 weeks post surgery is 100% recovered, we are suppose to keep him very quiet for many weeks, but you can’t even tell he had major surgery). The reimbursements were made within the timeline, and frankly, I was stunned at the simplicity of the program and the extent of the coverage. Unlike the human counterpart insurance quagmire, the process was seamless, timely, and our expectations were exceeded.

This is my second year with Embrace. I am very happy with the Wellness Rewards Plan for my greyhound. After taking her for her annual overall wellness check, nail trimming, various immunizations and required county tag, fecal exam, and heartworm test, Embrace quickly reimbursed me the full $200 of the total $234 bill (I selected the $200 maximum reimbursement plan). I definitely will renew with Embrace when this plan expires in March.

We have several dogs and cats covered by Embrace insurance. We have been with them for 3 years. We have found the entire staff, especially Laura, to be caring, efficient and knowledgeable. We had insurance with a different Pet Insurance Company before Embrace and there is no comparison! Embrace is by far, the superior company in all ways.

We've been with Embrace for 1 year, and unfortunately one of our cats has had 2 serious hip and knee surgeries.The Embrace staff was caring and very helpful both times. The paperwork was easy and the reimbursement was very quick (2 weeks for surgery and other related claims). We're very pleased and will continue to use Embrace as well as recommend them to our vet and friends who have animals.
