great company with friendly staff

My toy poodle slipped in wet grass and injured her shoulder. The claim to Embrace was very easy for me and the veterinarian's office staff to complete. It was resolved quickly and fairly. I am grateful for the competent staff at Embrace.

GREAT and not so great!

I have had Pets Best Insurance since 2007. The claims process is EXCELLENT! They get 10 stars for this. I highly recommend them for this fact and the fact that they are flexible with which vet you can use etc. I do have a problem with the fact that they NO LONGER permit herbal remedies for reimbursement/treatment. In fact it's very sad... let me explain why. They once did and it began my journey to eliminate my dog, Bellah's chronic ear infections. Conventional vets are wonderful but not to get to the root of any issue so I began using an integrative medicine vet (which again,I have to say Pets Best is wonderful for allowing ANY vet). Bellah responded VERY well to Chinise herbs and began the healing process for allergies. I moved from GA - CA and allergies changed - I found another great integrative medicine vet and she again prescribed TCM (Traditional Chinise Medicine). When Pets Best went to Aetna they no longer covered this cost and in fact Bellah no longer has ear infections because of the herbs - therefore, really saving PetsBest money (due to less claims and visits to the vet).

Great Save

After spending a ton of money on my older now deceased cats, I decided to purchase health insurance for my new cats. I have had it for 5 years and had never needed it previously. Until recently two benign (thank God)growths were discovered on the forepaw of my cat. I cannot believe how hassle filing a claim had been. thank you for making my life easier.

Great Insurance

Pets Best is so easy to deal with. I chose a plan that has 100.00 deductible and then pays 80%. I know I will always pay something for dollys care but she has had to 3 big things happen that cost over 200. most recently she has had gastritis and threw up and then was not eating well on and off and for 2-3 weeks. I took her in when I could just hear her belly gurgling and she was not eating. Long story short, she had fever and needed and xray of her belly, It showed bloating and gas although she had not really eating. she had a stool sample checked for worms which she did not have. she was put on stomache medication. Anyway the labs xray meds exam ect was 650.00. I submitted my claim on friday and it was processed for 440.00 by the following wednesday and the money was directly deposited into my account. This insurance is great. If your dog or animal ever gets sick it's costly and this insurance is worth it.

Easy!

I haven't had to use the pet insurance yet except for my $200 wellness coverage. I recently had my pet spayed and used the $200 wellness reimbursement for that. I like how everything can be emailed, and fax. Claims seems to be taken care of at a nice pace.

Great experience

When we first got our dog as a puppy two years ago, we decided to insure him (since he got into everything!)...at the same time, we insured our cat Max who was 8 1/2 at the time. I was nervous they wouldn't want to insure him because of his age, but it was no problem. A year and a half later, Max had congestive heart failure. Long story short, we were able to control the problem quite well with medication for about 6 months before having to let him go. During that time, he had two echocardiograms, fluid drained from his lungs twice, and multiple x-rays, among other things. Trupanion reimbursed us for nearly everything, and the process was a piece of cake. What's more, the insurance agent who processed our final claim for Max noticed that "Euthanaisa" was included...and took it upon herself to contact customer service and have them cancel his policy, effective the date we put him to sleep. I was so grateful for that...for some reason, the idea of cancelling his policy upset me too much to do it right away, so I figured we would just pay the extra month's premium. As it turns out, I didn't have to do anything - they took care of it all. I was iffy about paying insurance for our pets, but I'm so glad we did...now I recommend them to everyone.
