EXCELLENT

We have had too many issues with our puppy who just turned one year old. Who would've thought he would have knee problems that required surgery and medication! And who would have thought he'd ingest part of his cone (numerous times) he had to wear while recovering. Luckily, we were smart enough to insure him with Healthy Paws Insurance. The coverage was great and the claims were processed so fast we couldn't believe it. Healthy Paws gives us the piece of mind when something unexpected happens. Best pet insurance plan ever!

Healthy Paws is a lifesaver!

My five-month old kitten sustained facial, gum and teeth injuries from a dog bite. Enlisting my pets with Health Paws was the best decision I have ever made. The claim was reviewed within 48 hours of their receipt of the medical records and paid within a week. They paid everything except the initial office visits which is fully disclosed in their coverage description. They kept me apprised of the claims process daily and followed-up with e-mails asking how my kitten was doing. I am awestruck at how easy the claims process is and how Healthy Paws paid everything they said would be paid according to my benefit level. I have recommended Healthy Paws to my veterinary clinic, the specialty clinic that cared for my kitten, my family and friends, co-workers, and strangers I meet who loves their pets. Coverage is affordable and the reward is we are able to give our pets the best care without having to worry about selling our home to do so. I read the reviews prior to signing up with Healthy Paws, and admit to being skeptical that an insurance company could indeed be so wonderful. Now, through an unfortunate situation, I am able to write my own review and impart how awesome Healthy Paws Insurance is. Life is a gamble, and hopefully my babies will not need to fall upon Healthy Paws again; however, I know they will be there if I need them. I sleep much easier at night knowing that. Thank you, Health Paws!

excellent service and coverage!

When I rescued my dog Bailey, one of the first things I wanted to do was get her insured. I had no idea what company to turn to but found Embrace online and was persuaded by the rave reviews. I purchased both the wellness and accident/sickness policies. I just filed my first wellness claim and received a 100% reimbursement in less than 15 days. I'll be telling all of my friends to check out Embrace!

worth having pet insurance

My baby, Molly had a tumor on her ear that I could've never afforded surgery for without the pet insurance. It took about a month to be reimbursed cause they were reading the fax number for the vet incorrectly. I guess even pet doctors have messy writing? What matters is I eventually did get the reimbursement. And even better, Molly is tumor free and happy!

Bernese Mountain Dog - Abscess

Embrace has been terrific! The notifications of claims received was prompt. The payout completely satisfactory. I have used other pet insurance companies and am seriously thinking of switching all of my dogs to Embrace. This required two separate surgeries and several vet visits and one emergency clinic visit.

Wow!

We live out in the boonies, and, after spending over $2000 in the past year for things like porcupine quills, stitches from barbed wire, and a javelina attack, we decided to purchase accident insurance for our two rambunctious dogs. Just two months later, Tex, our Cattle Dog mix, got cut up yet again, requiring staples and a drain. We were traveling and I didn't have any of our info with us, but the Pets Best rep I talked to on the phone was very helpful, found our account, and emailed us a claim form. We submitted it by mail, and less than a week later, got an email saying it had been paid in full. The claim amount came to just about what Tex's premium cost, so we feel like we are now ahead of the game.

Decent reimbursement, but tough on older dogs

I bought ASPCA for an 8 year old golden retriever when I first adopted her, and the premium was reasonable $25 per month. When she turned 10, they increased it to $45 a month. I thought that having a prior relationship with them would mean they wouldn't overcharge just as my pet ages. Also, the policy can vary from state to state. I adopted my dog in Montana, but currently live in Oregon. I just found out that due to policy changes in Oregon, my dog is no longer eligible for ASPCA insurance. Oregon's rules essentially require that ASPCA insured dogs have the "extended care option". I would enroll my dog in it, but they will not enroll any dogs over age 8. I'm pretty ticked off that ASPCA is essentially kicking my dog off of their plan just because she aged, and that now I'm having to search for new insurance plans and enroll a 10 year old. (It's insanely expensive). When I did submit claims, they were generally accepted and reimbursed promptly. In this regard, ASPCA was better than my human health insurance. Claims I submitted were fairly minor and included a hurt paw, eye infection, and metabolic panel.

Amazing support

We had our 100lb dog tear his ACLU and needed surgery to reconstruct it. We are a young family and the cost of the surgery would have been impossible it hour Trupanion. We found out on a Friday he needed the surgery and they needed to get it done quickly so he was scheduled for surgery the following Wednesday. With such little time there was no way to pre plan the claim and we had to pay out of pocket first and then wait for the reimbursement. The call centre staff at Trupanion were amazing. I talked with them multiple times and let them know our situation and they went above and beyond to do everything they could to make sure they had all the information they needed so they could process the claim quickly for us and get us the reimbursement as fast as possible. I was so great full for all their help and understanding. We had our cheques in hand 2 weeks later. Amazing!
