Customer service does not exist--phone not answered, no chat, email link goes nowhere. No way to reach them. Form does not permit giving less than 2 for customer service. How can you trust someone who does not let you honestly rate them? I have 4 cats & 1 dog but cannot provide that information on this form. My account online shows 2 of my cats with same policy number and I cannot talk with Pets Best to solve the problem. My cat is in surgery and I don't know and cannot find out the correct policy number because there is no way to reach them. Why? Desperately need more/better customer service. Why don't they hire people to work from home to fulfill the need??????

Best insurance!
We are new dog owners and everyone recommended getting insurance because goldendoodles are known to get into a lot of trouble and eat everything that they shouldn't! I was unsure whether to do it or not because I hate having a monthly fee for something I might not use. But boy am I glad that I did! We have already had to use the insurance multiple times and my puppy is only 8 months old! It has been extremely easy to submit claims through the app and I am reimbursed quickly. A representative from Healthy Paws has even reached out to check on my Rosie since she's had a lot of stomach trouble lately. They are caring and helpful. We are VERY satisfied with Healthy Paws!

I don't know what I could have done with out Trupanion
I had hoped to never have to use the policy but after having owned 4 Shelties before Cetan and not having health policies for them I decided to get one for Cetan. He was the picture of health and a very playful and active Dog. His disease came out of nowhere and slowly and my vets had to perform many different and expensive tests to find out the cause. Now it looks like the current medication may cure him but only time will tell. The medication has some side effects but is the one with the least side effects of all. My Vet had information pamphlets in her office from 3 different companies and Trupanion had the best ratings and recommendations of them all. So I decided to try them. I'm glad I did, I would rather have paid my premiums every month for all of my Dogs and never have had to use the insurance. But Trupanion was there to help us. Everyone I talked to on the phone was very kind and helpful and that helps in times of uncertainty when my pet was looking very ill. Handling my claims online was easy and the payments were sent to me very quickly. Trupanion has better coverage than some of the human health insurance policies I have had and I have to say I owe my Dogs life to Trupanion.

Simply the best
Trupanion has been nothing more than amazing. To hear that boy Nikko has cancer was one of the most heartbreaking days I could have. Going through the shock of hearing such horrible news and having no signs at all was hard to comprehend. When I made the call to Trupanion to try to find out how to file a claim, the person that I spoke to was so compassionate and showed so much empathy for what we were going through. The stress of everything with doctors visits and just the entire emotional roller coaster of everything, Trupanion took the stress away and made it a little easier. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone that loves their fur babies.

Last year I bought it plan for my pet…
Last year I bought it plan for my pet Max,In sept, he started some pain in his neck and I take him to the doctor, they did not figure out for two months. Finally doctor recommended x-ray and CT scans. I called pets best customer service to check if it’s covered, and I was told everything is covered. I filled claim in end of November, and they did not response until 1st week of January and provided explanation they are unable to process the claims, since they did not receive medical record from the doctor, and they made few attempts. I called the doctor and she stated no one requested the medical records. Finally I provided the medical records and week after they denied the claims stated he had pre existing condition. Max never went to the doctor for Coronic pain prior to Sept, and they try to make excuse to refuse the claims..don’t waste your time and money, first thing I am doing tomorrow morning cancelling insurance.. go with healthy paw if you really love your puppy. Only the reason I buy pets best, because I have my vehicle insurance with progressive.. time to cancel all together !

Great coverage at low cost
Our springer had to have ligament surgery on her leg and at 14/mo we saved close to $1000 out of pocket. Customer service was very helpful over the phone when i had questions about filing her claim, and they even sent a hand written get well card after our phone call and followed up with us to check in a few weeks later.. Our recently adopted beagle mix had been covered prior to this, so we were very familiar with the coverage ins and outs. The attention to detail ive received for both dogs has been great. I would suggesg you make sure you understand how much standard vaccinations and vet care costs annually before choosing a plan, and whether there are low cost vaccination clinics near you.. Claims take slightly over a month to process, but if you've met your deductible, and explain/show your vet your plan, many will give you an invoice instead if you direct your reimbursement to go the the vet office directly.
