So thankful we have Trupanion Pet Insurance!
After having a dog that developed a lot of health issues and veterinary costs, we decided to purchase pet insurance for our next one. Thankfully our English Cream Golden retriever puppy came from the breeder with Trupanion insurance and we decided to continue it. When we added a rescue dog to our family, he was added to our Trupanion coverage too. SO grateful we did that! Our very active rescue dog started limping recently and we found out he had ruptured his Cranial Cruciate ligament (similar to a torn ACL in people). He needed surgery and there was a chance the other leg would rupture too, as it often happens. Vet visits, x-rays, surgery, prescriptions, recovery visits AND possibly having this happen to his other leg...In a panic we called Trupanion and have been amazed how supportive and helpful they have been. It's easy to submit invoices, and after our deductible ($200 for this dog), 90% of most of our veterinarian expenses will be covered. You can't beat that! We have learned that you can't bank on a pet never having an accident or getting sick, and our pets are family members to us. We love them and want them to live their best lives. All we can say is we are so thankful to have Trupanion Pet insurance!

My 19 week puppy ended up needed care from our vet and trupanion worked very quickly on my claim with no issues, the vets office put in the claim so I did nothing. What a great service and I refer people to trupanion anytime I can! Honestly I have never had insurance work as smooth as trupanion has! You have a customer for life!

Not good experiences, cannot recommend
I subscribed to the most expensive insurance plan that "covers" the most. The (apparently) poorly trained adjusters denied the whole claim except for vaccinations, including the wellness items that were supposed to have been covered. I then had to spend 45 minutes speaking with customer service only to have them transfer the claim to a supervisor to review, whom I have yet to hear back from more than a week later. In my opinion Pets Best is not the best pet insurance company out there, even for the money. There is no point having insurance if the "covered items" won't be covered.

Very pleased with Healthy Paws customer service & coverage. They covered a $3000 bill we had to pay for an emergency vet visit for our kitten. It’s good to know we have an insurance company we can rely on in our time of need. Would recommend!
