Worth EVERY Penny Spent

My domestic short hair kitty "Sis"(16 yrs old) had some unexpected problems back in October & November 2010 with her balance, she all the sudden one evening could not stand up or walk and her heart rate was racing, I thought she was having a stroke or something, I rushed her to my vet, they checked her over and sent me home with no anwsers, I went to a different vet for a second opinion, after a thorough check up and blood work the vet stated that she had a lot of build up of wax in her ears and thought that was the problem, I scheduled her for surgery to do a thorough cleaning deep in the ear, Sis stopped breathing and they revived her and said that she just was not a spring chicken anymore and that it was not safe to ever put her under again, so we tried antibiotics and ear drops, she has learned to adapt and lives a perfectly normal life now. If it was not for the ASPCA Pet Insurance, I really don't know what I would have done, I paid my deductable of $100.00 and I have been reimbursed anywhere from 75-80% of what I put out of pocket after my deductable. I have 2 other cats as well and I have them insured too incase I ever run into any problems with them in the future. When you have pets in your family, pet insurance is the best way to go, most pets are like family members to us and the should never be looked at as anything any less that any other family member and they deserve the same care and help that us as humans receive. Trupanion is wonderful!

We have a one year old Golden Doodle. When we got him, my husband and I decided to get pet insurance. After much online research and comparison shopping, we chose Trupanion with a $0 deductible and 90% coverage. It was worth the $41/month to sleep at night and not worry if something happened and we had to come up with a lot of money. Well, the worst did happen. Our puppy came down with Meningitis and had to have almost $4,000 worth of medical work done to diagnose and heal our puppy. We paid for the tests, doctor appointments and drugs and kept our fingers crossed that Trupanion would reimburse us at 90% of our costs. Upon submitting the claims, we heard from our local Trupanion rep and she informed us that we would be covered and that any other costs involved with this condition would continue to be covered in the future. We were thrilled. Trupanion has been nothing but wonderful to deal with. We are so relieved that we chose this company to insure our pet.

Absolutely the BEST!!

I would not even consider not continuing my Embrace plan for my three Rotties. Having had experience in past years with other dogs on the VPI plan, I can say without a doubt that Embrace is the very best. - Honest, quick, compassionate and reliable. I know what I am going to get back, even before I leave the Vet's office and I am able to affordto give my pets the best care because of Embrace. Whoever started this Company had to have been a pet lover! Before I leave the Vet's office, the forms have been faxed to Embrace. The very next day, I receive a confirmation receipt from Embrace with a time frame for reimbursement. Customer service with Embrace is the best and many "Human" companies could learn a lesson in customer care from Embrace. If you're "shopping" for an insurer, stop here. You won't regret being "Embraced".

Good service

Love Embrace!

My now 2 year old dog recently had an injury that resulted in a couple trips to an orthopedic specialist. The first ortho doc thought it was probably a soft tissue injury and possibly related to mild hip dysplasia, the second ortho doc we went to thought it could be a back problem so they did an MRI. After we submitted all the xrays and MRI (eek!) we were so happy and relieved when Embrace covered 80% of everything. Not only did Embrace cover the xrays, MRI, and vet visits, they are now covering (at 80%) his rehab which includes acupuncture, laser therapy, underwater treadmill, etc.! I wish I could find an insurance company for myself that's as good as Embrace! I love the peace of mind knowing that I have the insurance if I need it. Embrace has fantastic customer service and I always hear back from them right away after I submit a claim. Usually only takes a little over a week to receive my refund. I also have the wellness plan that I think has paid off for the last two years (we have had Embrace since my dog was a young puppy). Highly recommend Embrace!

Nothing but Great!

I am in the medical insurance industry, and just wish we had the same caliber of response, attention and kindness as the claims agents at Embrace. They have been nothing but helpful and kind. When my 4 month old American Bulldog puppy had an unexpected ER visit, my claims adjuster wrote for me "to give Dex a hug for her" when is the last time your insurance company conveyed that sentiment? I couldn't be happier with Embrace!

Would not Recommend

The turnaround time on claims is 3 weeks if not longer. The only reason I found out the outcome of my claim was because I called them. No one took the time to let me know my claim was denied. My vet specifically stated the cause of the claim and Embrace still insists it is not covered. The have declined more claims than they have paid. I will not be renewing my policy.

You really shouldn't be without pet insurance.

If you can afford it and love your pet(s) I highly recommend getting medical insurance for them. I like Embrace and thier coverage while sometimes I find thier reimbursments to be a bit slow thier customer service is top notch.

Great Insurance

I insured my two cats about 18 months ago - one was 2 years old and the other was 12. I chose Embrace because of the good ratings on this site and the fact that they would cover my older cat, at least for accidents. Many insurers would not cover him at all. Since then my older cat got bit by another animal and the claim process was fast and easy and the check came promptly. Everyone we dealt with at Embrace was pleasant, professional and seemed to really care about our pets. Then my younger cat also had an accident on Thanksgiving day which meant taking her to the emergency clinic at paying high holiday rates. Again, the claim process was fast and easy and the check came in a week. In both cases the claim was fully covered minus our deductible and the 20% co-pay. We are very pleased with Embrace and would recommend them to other pet owners. We just wish they covered people, too!

Nice folks

It took a while to get all the faxes i sent in to get acknowledged and sorted out by the company. But that was partly my doing for sending in multiple items on receipts. Its best to keep your receipts simple and only have claimed items separated on to singular receipts. I was only using the wellness program during this faxing ordeal. It took them a long time to acknowledge my ortho report card. I had to fax it 3 times. I thought I would be getting the wellness claim at the same time, but that never happened. Again, perhaps i was not clear on my end. Once I called and emailed later on, we got it all straightened out. Everyone there is super nice and they answer the phone right away. Thats a hard find nowadays. And all worked out fine after I learned the ropes.
