Ivan and Addie - Best Friends!

We had a male cat name Ivan. He was about 22 lbs, gentle and generally ignored by 3 other female cats. As time passed, Ivan at 14 years, was our only cat. We did not have pet insurance at that time, and when Ivan developed diabetes we had huge bills. At about this same time, we adopted a lively, 3 month old female we named Addie Joy. We had our minds made up that we would enroll her in ASPCA Pet Insurance because we never know what the future will bring. Addie and Ivan were instant friends. He had waited so long for a friend and she loved him like an older brother. Addie kept Ivan active and he taught her not to bite or scratch. For three years they were inseparable; we marveled at the tenderness they exhibited for one another. When Ivan died, we observed an immediate change in Addie: she wasn't eating, was lethargic, cried and paced the house looking for Ivan. That was sad enough, but she was not responding to our attention or pleas to eat. We visited a vet who specializes in felines and were told about pet grief. We were grieving and so was Addie. We kept on inviting her to play and eat; in a few weeks she slowly came back to her playful and opinionated self. Without insurance, we might have ignored her symptoms, not had a check up or consultation on how cats handle loss and how to support recovery. We know that whatever happens in the future, we will do our best for her, as we had done for all our pets, but we have the assurance our budget will never cause us to think twi

Claim was handled perfectly.

My 70+ lb. labradoodle had terrible gastritis andthankfully was treated and fully recovered. I submitted the vet's bill and the covered portion was paid to me without further question.

wonderfully unusual insurance company

In modern times, we're so used to getting worked over by the system, particularly healthcare, so when I had a good experience with Healthy Paws, I was floored. They are kind, caring, and available on the phone without all the menus you typically have to go through with human insurance companies. I don't know why they seem to have so much integrity, and I can't imagine how they stay in business because they are so exceptional and fair. It was unusual to have an insurance company calling ME to make sure they had all my claims. And they reimbursed quickly without pulling any funny stuff. Wonderful company, and if I can't have decent health insurance for myself, then I'm glad my furry children can have the best.

Highly recommended company!!

Our dog is only 18 months and sometimes we think of him as a "lemon" because of all his issues, but thanks to Embrace we are able to get all of his needs met. We have the accident and illness policy and Embrace's low monthly rates really pay off when the large unexpected vet bills occur. Their customer service is superb and they always correspond in a timely manner. We are very happy with the service and reimbursement that we have received thus far with Embrace and we would definitely recommend them.

Buying an Out of State Pet Insurance Policy

While I was researching Pet Insurances I was very hesitant about buying an out of state insurance policy , but this one has not disappointed me at all. I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance.

Excellent & fast resolutions

Our pup has had a few issues during the 9 months we've had him, and I have had to submit 3 claims, a couple of them in the $1000 range. Trupanion quickly confirmed receiving them, communicated fully during the process and quickly sent us reimbursement checks with no hidden costs or deductions!

Great experience

Good Experience with Trupanion

I got insurance through Trupanion at the end of 2011. It seemed the best choice based on the on-line adds I saw. I had to take my cat Cougar, a Maine Coon to the vet with a bad cough. I have a good vet and have been getting Cougar better. I submitted my first claim in Feb 2012 and it took about 3 weeks for my claim to go through the system and now I have received four more checks for the multiple visits Cougar had to have at the vet. I am very pleased with the service I have gotten.

Feeling like a member of the family

After researching various insurers, we could not have made a better selection. Sure, I've been very impressed with the quick reimbursement of each claim, but what elevates this company is the customer service. Our 1 year old recently had an accident at daycare and required after hours emergency care and several staples. Sadly, the owner of the daycare never called to see if our puppy was okay. You know who did check in? Healthy Paws sent an email to let me know they were processing the claim. About 10 days later they sent another email to check on her progress - no sales pitch involved - they just wanted to let us know they were thinking of her and asked us to give her extra hugs on their behalf. Last night I received another email expressing their happiness that she's feeling better. It feels like they have her picture on the wall!
