So glad we picked Healthy Paws!

We decided to get pet insurance as soon as we got our puppy Hotch. We looked around, made comparisons and felt Healthy Paws was the best. 9 months after having it in place, our beloved baby got severely sick. This was 2 weeks ago. He started acting VERY different and you could see he wasn't feeling well in his eyes. His nose felt warmer than usual, and was dripping more than normal. Finally I went to hug him in the morning and he yelped. We immediately rushed him to the vet. He in fact had a fever and his white blood cell count was exceptionally low. They had to keep him to run tests and give him fluids through IV for 2 days. It was the worst experience ever because he has never been sick or had any issues. Needless to say, the vet bill was astronomical. My husband and I definitely could not afford these costs on our own. It is now not even a week since the claim was sent and I have already received confirmation that the claim was accepted and there is a check in the mail. I am completely blown away. This is better than human insurance! They were also available by phone to help me with the process, and communication was constant, prompt, and most importantly friendly. I can feel they care through the messages. From all the horror stories I have heard, and my own experience, I can honestly say that they are the BEST. Thank you so much Healthy Paws, we cannot thank you enough.

Horrible

I signed up with Pets Best 3 years ago after my vet recommended insurance. My 3 year old yorkie had just had surgery to remove bladder stones. I called Pets Best and explained the situation. They told me that he was Not high risk and they would cover surgery for bladder stones in the future if necessary. Unfortunately 3 years later he had stones again. They would not cover the $1600 surgery and told me it was "pre-existing". I would never have gotten the insurance! I hate when people lie to make money!

Pet's Best isms the BEST!

I signed up for Pet's Best when we found our dog, Blue. Blue swooped epilepsy and had to go to the emergency vet several times. Pet's Best has always handled our claims quickly an fairly. I have recommended them to several other pet owners

An Insurance Company that Gets It!

Our family knows insurance well and have been very pleased with Embrace and its quick response to our initial claim. The process was simple, easy and efficient. Our claim for our puppy's prescription diet food is being paid under the wellness plan. Puppies are sometimes born with sensitivities and often will outgrow them. Embrace is the only pet insurer that gets that. Food allergies are considered a pre-existing condition by most other pet insurance companies. Embrace covered our dog's RX food because they understand that food allergies are cureable. It just takes time to figure out the cause. Thank you Embrace for getting it!

Very satisfied with overall service

The insurance coverage is very easy to understand. It is clear and there is no ambiguous language. I have had insurance with 2 other companies in the past 10 years and there was always some hidden facts about the coverage in the fine print and ambiguous language which required interpretation. So far, Trupanion practice what they preach and I find it refreshing. Their customer service people are very helpful and go out of their way to help during trying times. I am very satisfied and I have been telling everyone I know about how satisfied i am with Trupanion. I have had to submit multiple claims because my pet had recurrences of pancreatitis, and the claims were handled in a very professional manner. There is always a confirmation of when the claim is received and within several days I received a confimation of the approved amount. The settlement is mailed, so I received it within a week. So the entire process takes about 10 days. The only imrovement would be if Trupanion could credit the settlement directly to the account of the insured party. I hope they continue their good work, they are light years ahead of the pack.

Healthy Paws is Amazing!

This was our first dog so we thought it might be a good idea to look into pet insurance. After much research, we decided on Healthy Paws and so glad we did! Healthy paws has been so helpful and informative right from the start. Then came THE incident where our dog Bosco swallowed a needle and thread! Poor guy ended up needing an emergency endoscopy on Christmas Eve! Well, Healthy Paws came through right away after filing the claim. Truly fast and caring this company is! It is quite a relief knowing that Healthy Paws has your back while you can focus on your pets needs. Bosco came home later that night and spent our first Christmas together!

Great insurance !So happy I switched from VPI !!!

Did not have any trouble at all with my claim!! Sent them all the info they needed and head back with in 5 days. Gracie is a 6 year old Great Dane. She was not eating and acting weird. Took her to the vet for bloodwork. She had elevated ALT liver enzyems. They recommended hospitalization. Gracie was there for 3 days with IV fluids and antibitics. They took x rays and did an ultrasound. Petfirst covered everything but $300. Could not be more greatful I had insurance especially Petfirst. Thank you

11 1/2 Years and pleased with the Petshealth

We were happy with our coverage. Yes, it is sometimes difficult to know what is covered but overall for the cost and they did not cover medications that we brought home. We bassically broke even every year for 11 years. I think that says it all.

Dis -satified

The vet had diagnosed my dog with a cristalized mass located below his right eye that turned out to be a localized cancer,I had purchased the insurance a year ago,my claim was denied because it was determined by the insurance to be a pre existing condition,and because I did not follow up on the exam in the alloted time, it was denied,even though I had submitted the exam stating a non pre existing condition from the vet at time of injury,I am venting my anger because Embrace insurance claims to be a caring insurance only when it puts money in there pockets and not the wellfare of the clients pets,This need not be posted because I will be blogging my review at other sites

Healthy Paws Saves The Day

When my Bull Terrier, Ozzy, experienced sudden onset lameness, I rushed him to the vet to see what was wrong. It turns out he had split a toe bone in half long-ways (a slab fracture) and this sort of fracture can be very challenging to heal. Healthy Paws was right there with a reimbursement check, literally within 4 days from onset of injury. Additionally, the Healthy Paws staff were very helpful with ideas about how to best maximize Ozzy's chance of full recovery. Ozzy and I are both very grateful for their help and for the excellent vet care he is receiving.
