I highly recommend this dependable and personable company.
Healthy Paws has lived up to all my expectations and more. Our poodle-mix rescue was a healthy one-year-old when we got her. She's eight now and Healthy Paws has helped us keep her going. She's had major dental work ($3600), two pancreatic attack incidents, several injuries, and ongoing allergy medications. Healthy Paws reimburses us promptly and sends messages asking how she is doing. Whenever we need Veterinary services, we do not hesitate to get our dog the care she needs. This insurance gives us great peace of mind.

Wellness Insurance is Awesome!
I decided on PetsBest Insurance because of their wellness plan. So far, it has already paid off and I haven't even gotten my puppy spayed yet. I would highly recommend if you plan to get all the required vaccinations and the associated fees that comes with those vet visits. After submitting my first claim, it took about two weeks to get a response, but I was reimbursed appropriately. I also really like that PetsBest has an app that has all your information in one place!

Finn is a rescue pup so you wonder what his needs may be. Thank goodness I found Healthy Paws Insurance. The easiest sign up and the app is so easy to submit claims and ask questions. The team at healthy paws is super responsive. I highly recommend them to any new pet owner.

Very disappointed.
Extremely disappointed in this company. I have had policies on two of my dogs for the last year and never submitted a claim. Tha. t means that I paid out close to $1000, Today I received an Email informing me that my policies were going up $38/mo. When I called I was told that it was because other policy holders had put in more claims than anticipated. I don't think so! I will be changing companies.

Our pup came down with a pretty nasty stomach bug, causing him to spend two nights in the animal hospital. Once he got better and the dust settled, I submitted a claim to Healthy Paws. The whole process was incredibly easy! After uploading the necessary documents to their website, which was really simple, I received a confirmation email immediately. A day or two later, I received an official claim number, and then the itemized reimbursement statement about 5 days later. Then reimbursement check also came very promptly. It was a very smooth process! About a week later, they sent me a personalized email checking in on our dog, which was so thoughtful!

This company has a single product - false compassion
Trupanion is a company whose real product is false compassion. They are little more than a bureaucratic machine, one who couldn't care less for the role a pet plays in a family dynamic, and they leverage false tones and engineered kindness under the illusion of care. When attempting to file a claim, secure a pre-approval, or generate support for a pet's condition, policy holders are met with fake manufactured support, only to find any attempts at financial reimbursement and/or payments are met with the actions of a typical insurance company; at any and all costs, find a way to deny the claim. In my case, failure to secure recent months veterinary history, due to COVID preventing recent visits, provided these financial mercenaries a reason to deny a claim which could have save my young dogs life. Instead, I am now forced to choose between essentially bankrupting myself or letting my beloved pet die of cancer years before he should. That is who Trupanion is - a company who will ultimately force you to choose between your financial stability or the live of a loved one, all the while collecting your premiums en route to supporting their ability to hire more claim reps well versed in false compassion. You shouldn't only avoid this company, you should actively support their investigation and ultimate demise. They are, in a single word, criminals.

Rates rise astronomically every year!
I live in New England, in the Boston area. I understand that it is an expensive place to live, but there are a LOT of dogs. My premium has gone up $80 in the last 2 years. Every May, it's been going up an average of $20–30. What they tell you is that, sure, they will never raise premiums because you use the insurance, but they raise it like hell if other people use it. I have been paying into Healthy Paws for 7 years, my adopted dog is 10 years old, so will be virtually ineligible at other insurance companies. I am hoping to retire soon; trying to afford over $100/month for my dog after paying in for so many years is scaring me to death.
