So easy

My dog needed surgery. The claims process went smoothly, and everyone was very nice and respectful. I'm really happy I went with embrace rather than some of the other pet insurance plans I had been looking at.

issue converage

During a dental procedure (not covered) a problem was found that required a biospy and extensive blood work with rather inconclusive results but pointing to a hypesensitivty to unknown source (have since changed to hypo food)so in other words, her immune system is out of whack causing ulcers on the back of her throat. My issue is despite the vet diagnosis, Embrace was quick to attribute this to dental and thus not cover. My concern here is not the money but Embrace making its own diagnosis contrary to the vet (who is the professional) and says this is NOT dental related. As this may be an ongoing problem, until Embrace recognizes my vet's diagnosis, any future bills attributed to this condition will not be covered as the company continues to call it dental. If have been waiting weeks to hear back on whether they will recognize this condition correctly or not. It makes me question the validity of the insurance and the willingness of the company to listen to the vet. it makes me hesitant to recommend this insurance at this time. (Ironically the condition they are saying she has is a common condition with King Charles Spaniels...not her breed.)

GETTING FASTER WITH THESE CLAIMS

This is a reasonable amount of turnover time. However it was a very simple claim that has been processed for us a couple of times before. I'm not sure if your turn around times for something major is adequateor not. Thsnks for improving though.

Fast, Easy, but not 100% coverage

Since this was our first claim, we were a little worried. Service was great, very fast repayment. Our only concern was the fact that the re-examination had to be paid for every time and since we took Max in 3 times in 72 hours for the same condition, we expected to pay only one examination fee.

The insurance you must have for your pet

If you have ever go to the Pet ER, you might have seem some Pet hospitals ask you to pay deposit before they give further treatment to your pet. You feel heart breaking when you see Some have to loan the money to give their pet treatments or even give up on their pet because it is too expensive. We had a almost 16 year old dog Looka. She was diagnosed cancer on July, 2011. If not because PetBest, we cannot go further for her radiation and surgery. Thank God that we have her cancer treatment covered ( we claim 8000 in total) she is still live and kicking! Last month, she was found by our Vet her liver ALT level elevated, all the checks and treatments is another 1300 dollars bill. We submit our claim and right away received PetBest response. I feel safe that I have the choice to protect our dog because the insurance. I hope all the pet owners has this choice for their pets as well!

Healthy Paws was great!

Last week our 9 month old Great Pyrenees puppy Finnigan ate a TV remote control to include 2 batteries. That of course lead to emergency surgery, overnight stay, and medicine. Because of the Healthy Paws pet insurance policy we have, I wasn't worried about the financial obligation. Healthy Paws was fast at processing the claim, and the check was to us within a week. They did follow up emails inquiring about how Finnigan was doing, which again shows they go the extra mile. It was very appreciated. Anyone looking for pet insurance should take time to check out Healthy Paws. Thanks again Healthy Paws!

You just gotta love these guys!!!!!!

We have 6 of the most injury prone dogs on the planet, if I owned an insurance company I wouldn't take them on...... But healthy paws did!! They keep us updated and are always kind and courteous. They even add the personal touch of asking about our dogs by name and ask for pics. Very rarely is it computer generated and you can tell its a real person who genuinely cares. We have submitted a claim at our vet by fax and driving home we receive an email saying our claim is settled and a check on the way, even on a Sunday evening. We just wish all insurance companies were as customer and user friendly as this. Try them, you won't be dissapointed. We love healthy paws!!!! Wooooohoooo!!!!

Healthy Paws is a wonderful company to work with.

Last week our 9 month old Great Pyrenees puppy Finnigan ate our TV remote including 2 batteries. This required him to have emergency surgery, over night care, and medication. As any pet owner knows this was an unexpected expense. That is why when we got Finnigan, we invested into Healthy Paws pet insurance. For a reasonable monthly fee, we had peace of mind last week when Finnigan needed care. Healthy Paws was extremely efficient in handling his claim. We received the check with a week, and now Finnigan is on the road to recovery. Following his care we received a follow up email asking about how Finn was doing from Healthy Paws. This is a small but appreciated gesture. For any pet owner who is thinking about pet insurance, my advice is Healthy Paws is a company you should go with.
