Very Slow Payment on Claims

I filed two claims through my vet in early February. When I called to inquire about the status in mid-March I was told one claim had been processed, the amount, and it would be mailed the next week. Two weeks later I still haven't received the check and will be forced to call them again and sit on hold while the electronic voice tries to convince me to hang up and let them call back at their convenience. On the second claim they told me they had requested more information from my vet. Two days later when I spoke to the tech at my vet's office, she told me 24PetWatch had called them the day before (AFTER my call, which means the PetWatch outrighted lied when she said they had already contacted the vet. I will not be renewing insurance with this company. They use the insurance dodge of delay and deny a little too effectively.

This company is a scam.

Our puppy has struggled with severe bouts of diarrhea on and off for several months. As such, we have needed to run several diagnostic tests, and considered an endoscopic procedure or a biopsy of his large intestine to find the root of the problem. However, these problems started well after the 2 week waiting period for our insurance to take effect. Unfortunately, during one of his routine vaccinations within this 2 week waiting period, our vet noted "occasional soft stool." Despite this note, no tests were run as it was not a matter of concern and a test had been done for parasites just a week prior, which had turned up negative. Embrace has not reimbursed us for ANY of our puppy's tests since his stomach problems began, stating that the "occasional soft stool" was a "pre-existing condition." Our vet was nice enough to write a letter explaining that his subsequent stomach problems were not related to the note about soft stool, however, our appeal was denied. Everyone I have dealt with at this company has been extremely unhelpful and unapologetic. They will go to great lengths to find a reason to deny a claim and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere when considering insurance for your pet.

Exactly as promised

After talking to a rep on the phone, I fully understood my options and which ones were going to meet my needs perfectly. The information and forms I needed were emailed to me right away. Submitting the claims were easy and so was getting reimbursed. There haven't been any hassles. My only feedback would be to let me know upfront that I needed to get the vet SOAP notes as part of that initial package so I knew to request it on my next visit to the vet.

Good coverage

I have had ASPCA Pet Insurance for 6 years. I only have had to use the coverage one time for emergency purposes. All other times have been for regular visits to the vet for my one cat and one dog. I believe it is worth having the coverage as it only takes one expensive emergency visit to pay for itself. The service is easy to use and reimbursement is usually quick. I recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance.

Love Embrace!!

I am beyond pleased with Embrace. I was very skeptical about puppy insurance. We had a very expensive hospital stay for our puppy and decided to try it out. I choose Embrace based on reading reviews online. We have had them for 5 years now and I have not once been dissapointed. The claim process is very easy and fast (our dog likes to let us try it out - she loves going to the vet and tries to get there as often as possible). The staff is always checking in to be sure that you know they have recieved your claim/are processing/sent out a check, etc. I would (and have!) reccomend Embrace to anyone. I have a friends that have also used Embrace based on my experience and they have nothing but good things to say as well.

Friendly & Helpful Staff, Good Coverage

We have had Embrace insurance for our dog for over a year, and we are very pleased. The staff is helpful when we have questions, and they make us feel like we are important. It feels as if they were a small, personal company, instead of a big corporate business like some others out there. Submitting claims is easy, and we feel better knowing that our furry family member is covered!

Can't Thank You Enough!

I didn't get my claim sent in for my Wellness Plan reimbursement within the 90-day time frame, so I shouldn't have received a check...but I was happy to find out I was reimbursed after all. It came in the mail very quickly and I was so grateful since I'm unemployed and the funds were needed. I really appreciate the "human-touch" I get from Embrace for Gracie, my Jack Russell-Chihuahua baby. Definitely worth the monthly fee.

It is good cause organization.

My cat is fairly young and seems to act like an alley or scaredee cat! He is a tabby that gets beat up by another cat or a raccoon. He has come regularly with cuts or scratches that turn into abscesses. He has had one across his head, back , leg, stomach.... Thank goodness after his first cut I thought about insurance. He is lover cat that likes to wander. He reminds me of a court jester. I have been pleased with the handling of my claims. They are timely-except I never received the last claim check and had to wait and get they said a second check. I think the coverage is great. Also I was a little surprised that the last claim was paid lower than the first claim and I tried to talk to someone about it but it didn't make sense. I didn't want to push it but the injuries and treatment were identical but some of the claim was disqualified.

Trupanion is great!

My English Bulldog puppy recently swallowed a superball which required surgery to remove. Naturally we were pacnicked about both her health and the cost of surgery at such a young age. The Trupanion people were super helpful and my policy covered 90% of the cost. I am really grateful and Trupanion's service was excellent!
