Our cat got in a fight and had some fresh bites. Trupanion denied our claim because our cat has gotten into 2 other fights in the past 18 months. They said our cat had a "propensity towards fighting" and called this a pre-existing condition. I've never heard of that as a medical condition. It's more like cats just being cats. They are territorial creatures. Even if it were a valid condition, it could be the other cat that has this propsensity, and is just picking on our cat. Either way this is ridiculous and baseless excuse not to pay for the claim. I called the vet to let them know not to recommend Trupanion anymore. The receptionist said that Trupanion was actually part of the same company as the hospital (VCA). Seems like a conflict of interest to recommend your own company as if it is another trusted entity. In any case, buyer beware.

Trupanion immediately ok'd the surgery that the orthopedic veterinarian wanted to do even though the amount of the claim far exceeded what I had paid in premiums as this is a 7 month old puppy. What a great fee lining knowing I could get everything done and hopefully will have a sound and happy dog in the near future. Thank you the staff is great to work with helpful and friendly

Embrace is the best!! One of my kitties got unexpectedly ill and needed surgery in January, and I sent in multiple claims in a matter of a few weeks to Embrace, and each one was dealt with quickly and professionally. I am so pleased that acupuncture is covered. My Fanny has chronic limb weakness/arthritis and it is heartbreaking to see her have so much mobility trouble. The acupuncture is helping and it is a relief to know Pet's Best supports this type o treatment. I only rate it a 9 because it took awhile to turn the claim around.

My 6 month-old puppy became ill and was diagnosed with infectious canine tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) this past December. She had gotten the recommended vaccinations, but had contracted it anyway. We had to pay for the vet visits and antibiotics thought to be necessary to get her better. I emailed the claim forms from two different visits to Embrace, and my claim was completed and I received my reimbursement within two weeks. I had already met my $200 policy deductible, so was reimbursed a full 80% of my expenses. My claim was done quickly and efficiently by Alissa Tyminski, but it took me a few days to cash the payment checks. I received a follow-up email from Embrace co-founder Laura Bennett within a few days to make sure that I received my payment. As usual, the customer service I receive from Embrace is without parallel.

Always know that I can take care of my friend as needed because of the wonderfully thought-out plan available through Embrace so that costs and payments are not a concern. Recommended to many friends.

Ziggy (my Bouvier) was just recently diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma. He is only 5 1/2 yrs old. Pets Best Insurance has been superb handling my claims regarding this protocol. On occasion when I speak with them I always come away with the impression that they really care about your animals and want to see them get well.
