VPI is a company run by Mobsters!

This is the worst company. They do not like to pay or cover your pet when it gets sick. My pet has been insured since 2014, with major medical and a wellness rider. My cat was diagnosed with HCM 01/02/16 2 years after the insurance was purchased. He has never been diagnosed or treated for anything remotely related to a heart condition. He went to the vet for a uti and then was sent to the emergency hospital because it was the weekend and my vet could not take him in. After going to the hospital they found the condition after many tests. The hospital stay and to see a cardiologist came to over $3000. VPI would not pay $.01. They said he had a pre-existing condition. I appealed the denial because he did not have the condition in the 2 years I have been taking him to the vet his heart was never mentioned nor was he diagnosed/treated for a heart problem. After an appeal, the came to the same conclusion. The only thing they have paid for in the 2 years is a vaccination and fecal testing which are covered under the wellness rider. They extort pet lovers making you believe that if something happens to your pet you are covered. Everything is pre-existing as far as they are concerned and I would not recommend VPI to anyone. They are the worst. I waited my money over the past 2 years paying the monthly premium. I canceled my policy with them because they are good for nothing. I can pay for vaccinations and fecal testing without them, what they were really needed for the refused to help. DO NOT PURCHASE VPI!!!!!!! I WOULD RATE A ZERO IF I COULD

Very satisfied with the experience

We are first time puppy owners and decided to play it safe by getting pet insurance. Having gone through all competitors in the market, we went with EMBRACE considering that the better coverage and the rave reviews we came across on various websites. I must say this was one of my best decisions of 2015 other than deciding to adopt a puppy. At EMBRACE, the staff is extremely professional and courteous; reimbursements are timely and quick; coverage is very good. I have had multiple vet visits in the past 1 year baby and it is very reassuring to know that EMBRACE is backing you. Vet visits can be really expensive and I am glad that I do not have to think twice before doing what is good for my puppy. Special thanks to the staff who make it happen..each time

Kidney disease

First time I entertained pet insurance after spending thousands on my prior cats due to urinary infections. I still have one female cat who requires constant care for same problem and is not covered by insurance. I adopted another cat who was 4 yrs. old and decided to look into pet insurance and finally considered ASPCA hoping I would not have problems, but needless to say, she was diagnosed with Kidney problems. All claims submitted were dealt with on timely basis and had no issues with anyone. However, based on the comments from D. Fallon and others, I'm wondering if I renew the policy will the kidney problem be considered pre-existing and denied should she not be cured at the time of renewal?

Very satisfied customer

This is the first time I have purchased Pet insurance and I chose Healthy Paws based on the reviews. Within 1 month of getting my puppy, he fell and broke his leg. I sent in the claim for $4500 and waited a couple of weeks (the delay was because the vet hospital was not sending the records). After I made several attempts to get this done, a Healthy Paws representative finally made the initiative to contact the hospital directly to get the records. Within 24 hours the claim was processed and I received a check for $3100 less than 4 days later!! Most insurances (health, car etc) try NOT to cover claims so I was so surprised that this all went so smoothly with Healthy Paws. I now recommend it to friends and am thinking of signing up my cats as well. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Esay & Dependable

I have had Healthy Paws insurance for about a year now, and I'm thrilled. They covered by dog's bilateral cruciate ligament surgery AND all of the follow-up costs. The app is easy to use - I just send them a picture of the bill. They processed the claim and sent my reimbursement in 3 days for a major surgery! I couldn't be happier.

I Did The Right Thing!!!

In doing my pet insurance research for my precious "Prince", I thought I compared all the pet insurance until I registered him with the kennel club.At the time I've already bought Embrace and what a mistake that was to have canceled Embrace to purchase the referred insurance by the kennel club. When I realized the grave mistake I went back and got re-instated within the hour. Since that time recently we have gone to our first pet vet visit, cut our orthropedics exam 6 mos. waiting to 14 day waiting, and we will get neutered to get our 5% discount!!! So yes we are happy very happy "We Did The RIGHT Thing". I'm telling everybody I know about Embrace and the need for pet insurance period also you can afford it your needs. I filed my claim $97.75 and all other first time puppy needed papers required and processing took literally a few days. Again I chose the very "BEST"!

VERY UNHAPPY

I have been paying for pet insurance with VPI for 8yrs and very seldom have I submitted a claim. Now I am planning on having my dog spayed and VPI claims this is not in our Policy, that we needed a higher policy!!! I have paid $41.00 a month for 8yrs and now they refuse to pay a $500.00 bill for something that seems like a common procedure!! READ YOUR POLICY CLOSE and take nothing for granted!!!

Love it!

I can't get over the ease of putting in a claim with Pets Best! I switched from a previous company because of issues of that nature. The breakdown of whats covered and what isn't is so clear and I got back exactly what I expected and within a week with constant updates.

Excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate care

They not only cover what you need - they do it hassle-free and check up on your critter after an illness. Could not ask for more, and I gotta thank Consumer Reports (who rated 'em #1) for steering me their way. I've recommended them to a thousand different pet-parents and some were concerned that their notoriously-unhealthy breeds (e.g., English Bulldogs, Cavaliers) would be ineligible; HealthyPaws assured me that, incredibly, they do not discriminate based on breed :-)Lovely company and lovely customer service. Reimbursements are very prompt and app is very user-friendly.
