Absolutely the best

I searched around a lot to find the best insurance when I got my puppy. Sure, there are a ton of cheaper options but I couldn't be happier I went with healthy paws. My dog was a totally normal puppy but he ended having seizures around when he turned 1. He also needed major surgery on his paw. Healthy paws is the best. There's no cap so they literally have reimbursed me thousands of dollars. My dogs surgery was $4500 and they reimbursed me $3400 (I have an 80% rate). They also reimburse me for his seizure medication that I buy monthly. Not only do they reimburse you, but they do it quick! There's never any ifs/buts when I submit a claim either, they pay you exactly what they told you is covered. I couldn't imagine not being insured through them.

Rest Easy with Healthy Paws

My dog Libby suffers from anxiety. As a result, when she gets stressed, she eats fabric -- lots of fabric. Even though I have taken a lot of preventative measures to prevent this from happening, she has outwitted me on more than one occasion. She has had to have surgery twice to remove copious amounts of fabric (think almost entire couch throw gobbled up) removed from her stomach. Having Healthy Paws insurance gives me great peace of mind. I know that I won't have to make a cost based decision concerning her care. And, Healthy Paws quickly reimburses me - within about 10-14 calendar days - from the date I submit the claim. I am quite happy with HP and with their practice of donating to rescues too. Its is a great company with great customer service andf a great product.

Great service and coverage (not pre-existing)

Had to file a claim for a medical (intestinal) issue with our dog. Submitted claim and was kept in the loop nicely, check came quickly. Had previously filed claim for surgery but that wasn't covered due to it being "pre-existing", although that hadn't been determined by the vet. So that part was subjective and I'm iffy on their decision. They did apply a portion of that to the deductible. They have a great app for claim tracking & submittal.

Excellent and compassionate!

Great customer service, easy to get a hold of them. They don't treat it like a business they are actually very compassionate and follow up to make sure your pet is okay. My claim was a complicated one but they were very accommodating and made the process easy on my end. When they received our medical information they arranged payment right away.

Slow Claim Service

It took over 5 weeks to get my illness claims settled and that was after contacting Embrace more than two times and they "supposedly" expidited the claims both times. I also do not like that they no longer offer the Explanation of Benefits letting you know what was covered and "why" they did not cover something else. The way they do it now we are at their mercy to "take what they give us" as the amount we are supposed to be paid. I wish they would go back to the way they used to process claims which was faster and more accurate than this "new quicker" claim processing which it is not.

Very pleased with Embrace Pet Insurance

Brody our yorkie was run over by a car fractured broken pelvis. He was only 6 months old. EMBRACE was very prompt and very easy to file claim with. They really came through!

Excellent Service

My recently adopted 3-year-old male tabby had excessive licking and hair loss and after one trip to the vet's and several dietary changes, we decided to have him tested for allergies. The test was very thorough but also quite expensive and, as promised, Healthy Paws covered 90% of the cost of the test and prescription medicines. We are very happy we signed up for pet insurance with Healthy Paws. Very satisfied clients.

Fast service!

Trupanion has been great so far for my 7 month old puppy. They were very fast with the claims and provided detailed reports on what was approved and what wasn't. It was also very nice that they have direct deposit. :)

Glad I have it... but...

Have had 24PetWatch for many years, I am glad I have the coverage. But in 2014 they have real got real slow about processing claims. In the past you could count on reimbursement being received about 3 weeks after the claim was filed, now it is taking 4 to 5 weeks - and that is with a complaint filed with the state insurance commission (which they always seem to write the check the day I fax them the state complaint). Their excuse this year is that they have had a busy year and are trying to catch up, but nothing seems to get them moving. Not the standard of care they once provided. Changed our other cat to PetsBest...

They are there when you need them

About 1 year ago we purchased a chocolate Lab puppy we named Kady. About 4 months after bringing her home we found that she was limping...limping was more pronounced after exercise. After reviewing the X rays the vet believed that the limping was the result of normal growing pains that would pass in time. Well time passed but the limping didn't. We eventually saw a veternairy orthopedist who took additional X-rays and diagnosed Kady as having Elbow dyslpasia in both of her front elbows and severe arthritis. Between the X rays and surgery (completed 2 weeks ago) Kady's bills were over $5000. I have become a bit of a cynic over the last number of years especially of the insurance industry.... so I was anticipating difficulties with coverage, limits, condition etc.....to my surprise Healthy Paws promptly issued checks for the amount we were entitiled to according to her policy. They have also been kind enough to check in with us regarding her condition. I am amazed and impressed by the way they do business and their concern for our pets. I cannot say enough good things about them and how they treated us and Kady. We have hope that Kady will finally get to be the puppy and adult dog she could not be previously due to her condition. Thank You Healty Paws!
