Very nice Customer Service folks

I have only every insured one pet so I have nothing to compare ASPCA Insurance with. Having said that, the Associates are always very friendly and helpful. There have been times I was disappointed at the result of my claims but when my dog almost died of a serious illness and had to be in an emergency hospital for 3 days, the money I got back was almost half of my roughly $3000.00 bill.

Pet insurance is not a luxury but a MUST HAVE

When You first get your furry friend, the first thing a pet owner MUST DO is take your healthy pet to the vet and have your companion examined to rule out any pre-existing condition (s). Most Pet insurance companies do not require an initial exam and this is where pet owners get stumped. Once your pet has been given a clean bill of health, pet first insurance is the easiest and straightforward pet insurance to follow and understand. Before leaving your vet's office, make sure that your vet has given You all of the necessary documents in order for pet first to process your claim. If you are missing a document or a signature from your vet, snail mail or fax the additional information to pet first and call pet first to verify that they have received the additional information required to process your claim. Request that the customer service agent send you an email stating that they've received all of the documents to process your claim. You shouldn't have any problems getting reimbursed in a timely manner if you follow the outline that I've just given you.

Pets Best NOT worth it - claim delays and denials

I have been with Pets Best since 2007 and over the years have become more dissatisfied. For the first few years they were reasonable and reimbursed promptly, then in one year they more than doubled the rates. In 2015, after having to put down two of our three dogs, they only covered a fraction of the costs for end of life care and cancer treatments. Their underwriters (claim processors) assume to have more authority than a cancer specialist on a diagnosis and denied my claims based on THEIR OWN interpretation of medical records, in spite of my appeal with a letter written by my veterinary oncologist to support my claim. Communication on my appeal was not specific, and their denial gave no explanation, or acknowledgement of the facts presented. Their decision was arbitrary. Now with only one dog left, they are insisting on vet records on even minor incidents, and on back-to-back claims even whey they already have the most recent records. I believe they are causing unnecessary waiting periods in order to collect their premium payments each month. Sadly, I will NOT use this company again for any future pets we adopt.

Easiest pet insurance

I have previously used another pet insurance recommended by vet and found it lacking in customer service, ease of filing a claim, and paying claims. I am so grateful to my friend who recommended ASPCA pet insurance. It is easy to use, has great customer service, and pays claims promptly without finding loopholes to avoid claims. I will continue to purchase ASPCA pet insurance for my future pets.

I couldn't be happier!

This was my first time submitting a claim and everyone I talked or email to was very helpful and courteous. There was a misunderstanding with the reimbursement and it was corrected right away and explained why the payment was different than I expected, and in general very good service. Keep up the good work.

Every Dog Owner Needs Healthy Paws!

Two months after bringing our Boston Terrier pup home we enrolled her with Healthy Paws, confidant that she would not need significant medical attention at such a young age, but cognizant that as she grows older medical needs are likely to crop up. About two months after enrollment she experienced a "freak accident" while running at the dog park and severely fractured her leg. After emergency treatment and orthopedic surgery, what a relief it was to know that we were covered for thousands of dollars in medical bills! Healthy Paws processed the invoices promptly and efficiently, and have given us piece of mind that our pup's continuing care for rehabilitation treatment will be covered as well. No dog owner should be without Healthy Paws!

Tessa, Anita, Ron -Thank you Trupanion

Our puppy (Tessa) is now 3 1/2 yrs old. Fortunately we decided when Tessa was but a few months old to secure insurance. We researched numerous insurance companies but we kept returning to Trupanion. The final decision was in part influenced by our Vet. Needless to say, Tessa now has a vet. file in fact two files since the first one was full. Our bills have been in the thousands and with the exclusion of bills for office visits, Trupanion has honored payment for EVERY INVOICE (90%). Yesterday we had Tessa to our Vet for a check up. During the Drs. visit, our Vet commented on Trupanion. Noting, her experience with other insurance companies has been less then desirable given the delays in bill processing and the on going request for additional information. She could not say enough about Trupanion as compared to the other insurance companies. Now would anyone in our position with a sick puppy and the great experience we have had with Trupanion rate your performance less than acceptable, I don't think so. But as important as the honoring of invoices is, the professional treatment we receive every time we call is exceptional. What more could we ask for? My wife and I thank you.

outstanding service and quick payment

Trupanion was exceptional in their concern and handling of Ranger's claim, follow through with the providers, and quick payment. The Claim person on the telephone line expressed true concern for my dog's health and made me feel as though he understood my worry.

Rescue puppies are secure and covered

When I rescued two little puppies from Missouri, I knew there may be health issues to deal with. I am so happy that I found embrace health care. They are now 10 months old and I have put in a few claims already. The folks at embrace couldn't be nicer. They tell me when they receive my claims and when they are processed. It gives me great peace of mind to know I can offer my puppies the best care for the rest of their lives.

AWFUL

I have been trying to get my numerous claims processed since April (it is now September). Every time I call someone gives me incorrect information (wrong fax number, incorrect e-mail address, wrong information on how to set up direct billing, etc. etc.) I was told that a supervisor would call me 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. I am on hold with them now. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I told them that I think that they are taught to give the wrong information so that the people will give up on the claims that they have submitted and they never have to pay out.
