These people are deceitful!
Even though they claim that they are direct pay. All sites show that checked... BEWARE because their loophole is thy say it is done on a case by case basis.. Don't waste your time looking for that statement in their advertising because it is not there!!! Very misleading and very deceitful!!

Long processing time, and they will find a way to not cover you
pets best usually takes more than 30 days to process the claims. And they will look for a way to not cover them. My dog had some kind of dandruff when she was little, before we got her policy, it was caused by excessive bathing at the moment. And now pets best is saying that she had pre-existing allergies eventhough she was never diagnosed by a professional, and they refusse to cover any problem she can have in her skin, it doesn't matter that it is not the same problem, they always say it's because of her preexisting allergies, which she does not have. I have appealed a couple of times (which by the way is just a waste of time), even with a letter from her veterinarian saying that she is not diagnossed with allergies, and apparently the process is useless. I do not recommend this insurance. Unfortunatelly, I'm stuck with them because my dog was diagnossed with hip dysplasia a couple of years ago, and that would be a pre-existence if I switch to any other company. By the way, there's no way to increase your coverage, the only way is to cancel the policy and buy a new one, which would consider anything (anything that you had taken you dog to the vet for) as pre-existing.

Trupanion is Fabulous! Five +++ stars!
Trupanion is Fabulous!! I would give more than five stars if they allowed for it!! :)) I wish they provided health insurance for humans!! They have been very reachable (remarkable in this day and age!) and easy to deal with; kind and compassionate about the condition of my fur babies; efficient and professional in handling claims; and really quick in replying with the final claim analysis and outcome! Having Trupanion is a comfort knowing that even though I'd spend what it takes to help make my fur babies well, it is a relief and comfort knowing they cover and provide payment for a large portion of the medical costs. Thank you sooooo much, Trupanion!!

I had two issues with Bentley within a short period of time and Trupanion really came through and settled our claims within a short period of time. In my opinion there’s nothing better out there. New puppy? Get Trupanion now. You never know what can come up.

ASPCA took great care of us with our previous doggie, so we're back with our new pup.
ASPCA took great care of us with our previous doggie Willow. In the end, when we lost her, they not only helped us with those final medical bills, they called to console us for our loss. It's a wonderful program, always fair, and the people who work for the company are kind and compassionate. As soon as we got our new puppy, Ari, I signed her up right away.

Trupanion is amazing and a must for pet owners
Trupanion has been amazing and I’m so grateful I have it for all my pets. One of my cats recently went through a bad illness for 3 months. Stopped eating, vomiting, lethargic. I was able to take her to see an internal medicine specialist because I had Trupanion coverage. They did emergency surgery on her to remove a cancerous tumor in her intestine. Now she is on chemo. She is doing amazingly well. Thanks to amazing medical staff and Trupanion she is alive. Having Trupanion coverage lessens the stress of caring for a beloved pet when they are ill and lessens the stress for medical professionals too when caring for your pet. They can focus on saving pets instead of how to tell you what it’s going to cost in a digestible way so no one gets upset. I deeply recommend this coverage to pet owners. I had a healthy cat all her life and didn’t see this illness coming. Trupanion helped me manage everything stress free financially.
