Great Customer Service

ASPCA Customer Service has been tip top. They are always helpful, informational and patient with my questions. I have the accident insurance which has been very helpful getting reimbursed for large vet bills. I recommend ASPCA to any pet owner.

Setup Fee

I just ordered insurance for my Border Collie puppy through Healthy Paws. After I purchased the insurance, I received an email confirmation that also stated that they charged my credit card a $25.00 setup fee. Even though this fee is small, the fee was not disclosed on their website and it seems dishonest to me for them to assess a charge without telling you about it up front. I purchased insurance through this company because of their high ratings but this is not a good way to start out a business relationship by adding hidden costs to the policy. Consequently, I am giving them a 2 rating for dishonesty. I may raise their rating later if I have a claim and they perform well.

Disappointed

My dog was diagnosed with Pannis (an eye condition caused by ultraviolet rays) My claim was denied, based on Pets Best concluding this was a pre-existing condition, they had no proof bringing them to this conclusion and she had never been seen for this condition. Very disappointed, this is a chronic condition and my feeling is they knew they would have to continue paying for medications, so they made the decision to deny the claim. I termed my insurance as of 7/19/16 and have yet to receive my premium refund.

The best pet insurance company EVER.

Claims are reviewed and paid very quickly. Kindest staff from an insurance company ever. They must all be pet owners because they understand how much our pets mean to us. I have had many claims over the years (been a customer for about 6 years) and I highly recommend Embrace to all my friends and family!!

SCAM COMPANY - DO NOT BUT THEIR INSURANCE

This company runs a huge scam. I was given a gift of insurance by the shelter when I adopted my dog. The company then sent me several notices that my gift was ending. I called to ask when and they told me that week. So I bought a policy so I wouldn't have a lapse in coverage and specifically asked about a medical condition my dog had. They told me it was covered and that my waiting period was covered by the time I had the gift insurance. It turns out that the gift actually didn't end for TWO more months so I DOUBLE PAID for nothing. Also, they wouldn't ay ANY claim since they said I hadn't met the waiting period. Then they told me that the actual condition wasn't covered, even though they sold me more expensive coverage so it would be covered. Plus, I had to call for weeks and wait on hold for HOURS before reaching customer service. This is such a total waste of money. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY - IT IS A TOTAL SCAM.

Great Insurance Company

Claims are easily submitted and the response is fast. This insurance gives me peace of mind knowing I have coverage for my two dogs. There are no hidden agendas. They have covered, without question, all the claims I have submitted.

Couldn't be more pleased

Our 12+ year old lab had a growth on his eyelid causing him extreme discomfort. His pre-op testing and surgery were all covered under our plan (90%) and the claim was processed the same day I submitted it. I had the check within a week of the surgery. In the 5+ years we've had Healthy Paws insurance, we have filed many claims for diagnostics, medicine etc. and all have been handled quickly and efficiently. The few times I've had to call for some clarification, I have always had a pleasant experience with the claims team. We highly recommend Healthy Paws insurance.

Couldn't do without Embrace for my dog Brandy

Brandy is a 12 year old Beagle, the sweetest dog ever. Last year, just after her 11th birthday her she was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma of the spleen. Except for our Embrace policy, I would not have been able to afford the surgery that saved her life. I don't know exactly how much the surgery and continuing treatments have cost in the last year (close to $5000 though). Brandy is alive because of my Embrace policy and yesterday we celebrated her 12th birthday. Thanks. We feel totally Embraced!

Beyond our Expectations!

Very pleased with service and ease of getting paid for claims we submit. Apparently our Havanese is susceptible to bug bites. We have had a couple of incidents this year. Naturally, they don't heal quickly and while the doctor tries the most conservative approach first, he ended up needing shots and medications🐾🐾🐾. We also had a visit to the ER and Neurologist recently. We had great piece of mind knowing that we would be reimbursed for these huge and unexpected expenses. Thank you.
