Everyone should have pet health insurance

Healthy Paws Health Insurance allows me to provide the best medical care for my pets. Pet care has advanced to such an extent that the expenses can quickly mount up. Insurance is the answer unless you are rich or want to go into debt. I have personally had medical bills, in the past, that CA e to, $13,000 and $17,000. Wish I'd had pet insurance at that time. Healthy paws quickly pays claims and they have made it very easy to file a claim online. I would definitely recommend this insurance company to anyone that has a pet.

Brady's FLUTD Problem

Our male cat Brady has had some urinary tract problems over the past few months involving several visits to our family veterinarian and a couple visits to veterinary emergency hospitals. We submitted all invoices and doctors' notes to Embrace and they paid everything according to policy terms. We are very grateful to Embrace and their employees for responding and paying reimbursement so promptly. I highly recommend them for your pet's insurance coverage.

0 claims paid. Zero. Not one.

We have paid monthly for a SUPER PLAN ($40.12/month)since our bulldog was 5 months old (after an initial misunderstanding about start dates was confirmed),this allowed for a bunch of "preexisting" conditions to develop. We have had a lot of health issues and despite paying a higher premium for the best plan ($10, 000 a year) which was evidently calculated by things like: living in a better area (vets have more expensive procedures) and having a higher risk breed ( bulldog)... NOT ONE claim has been paid. Not a cent. Ever. And it's not like it's a painless procedure to claim either: the vet has to submit their notes in addition to your detailed receipt. Several times over. I asked our vet to submit the last claim. It was rejected because they needed more information, he said he submits these claims frequently and was surprised that further information was required but he resubmitted and finally we were emailed to tell us the claim was being reviewed. I went online to see that the status was completed and the claim would pay out: $0 (from just over $600 for an emergency when our dog couldn't stop vomiting and they suspected some kind of internal blockage). The claim was denied because my dog had previously vomited. After complaining bitterly, Karen said she would ask the vet for further confirmation that this was a different event/reason and they would review it again. Third time lucky? After an email saying their telephone wait times were horrible( minimum 30mins on average in my experience)and they were working on them, I can confirm nothing has changed in this regard. If you get the feeling that I am feeling disillusioned, disappointed and incredibly frustrated - you are right. It might be easier to get blood out of a stone than get a claim paid!

Healthy Paws the Bset Insurance I've Had Yet!

Adopting special needs pets (homeless and otherwise)is my passion. But like people, pets get sick too, so for me pet insurance is a must have. A large part of being a pet parent is insuring that you don't have to choose between good health and your personal finances. I have had other pet insurers, but Healthy Paws is by far the best yet. They provide a range of affordable coverage, and my last claim was processed in less than twelve hours! Thanks Healthy Paws!!

Treating me Well

I have had Embrace for years and they have been good to me. They have covered my dogs genetic eye surgeries twice and because of them he still sees. I have used them for Emergency visits on another dog and orthopedic issue with a third. With all insurance companies get it on your dogs young before there are any preexisting as none of them cover those.

Slow pay on claims

ASPCA acts like the insurance carriers do for human medical claims. They engage in long periods of review and then request additional records. I have to cash fund claims for my pets and then wait weeks and weeks for reimbursements that claims examiners pick apart. Definitely not fast claim service as they represent their organization to be known for.

Healthy Paws is top-notch!

I signed up my 2 yr old Golden Retriever as a young puppy. After paying out of pocket for cancer treatments for our previous dog, I wanted to give pet insurance a try. I did a lot of research, and ended up selecting Healthy Paws. So glad I did! My 2 yr old just had bilateral arthroscopic surgery on his elbows due to elbow dysplasia and FCP. This type of diagnosis requires specialized orthopedic surgeons. From the time we received the diagnosis, I could focus solely on doing what needed to be done to ensure my dog received the best care, without worrying about the hit to the bank account. So far, the hospitalization and surgery totaled just under $3500. As soon as I received the invoice, I passed it on to Healthy Paws. Within 3 days, I had a response. They covered everything but the exam fee (as is clearly stated in the contract) and a check for $2700 was on its way. But that isn't the end of my story. A few days later, I received an email from a Healthy Paws team member inquiring how my dog was doing. This was not an automated email. The note was specific to my dog and my response prompted another reply. This top-notch response and customer care really distinguishes Healthy Paws in my eyes. I have confidence that as my dog recovers from surgery, any other needs that he may have (such as PT) will also be covered, without breaking the bank.
