Life Saver!

We adopted our dog, Lucy, less than a year ago. Since we have gotten her, she has had multiple problems with her eye, which has required a couple of surgeries. As with any medical problem, the expenses were overwhelming. PetFirst insurance made it easy to file claims on these surgeries, and helped pay most of the bills. Having PetFirst insurance has truly been a life saver! Without them, I'm not sure how we would have been able to afford the bills. Thank you for covering our loved family member!

Fantastic Comapny

I have had pet insurance since my dog was a year old. At age 6, she developed severe diarrhea and through an extensive workup, she was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. Trupanion processed my claims very quickly and deposited into my checking account making it seamless. We have another dog who we also have insured, and thankfully, haven't need to make a claim. But knowing the experience we have had, I know it will be smooth if we should need them. Such an awesome experience for a very emotional/trying time.

Quick Response

I fax my pet's claim, and I receive confirmation of receipt of our claim within a few days. The reimbursement check comes in the mail within 10 days of confirmation.

Great Claims Support and Customer Service

Excellent service. Helpful with any questions I have on claims submitted for my pups. They are rarely sick but when they are the claim is entered into the system which is so easy and convenient to use. ASPCA calls to see how they are doing and to let me know the status of the claim. I recommend them to all my friends with pets.

Biggest Scam ever. READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP

We were new to the country and wife just signed up for the cheapest pet insurance she could find without realizing what we were buying is NOT cheap but a scam. Our insurance went up from $25 to $44.88 in an year WITHOUT our consent or any notification. We kept paying $44.88 for about an year until recently i found about it. When i called them to ask they said they sent us a mail with annual renewal package which we never received. I tracked down their mail's information with Canada Post for the concerning date and found there was no mail delivered to us for that day. They sent us no specific email or message about why the jump in the premium and what will the new policy cover. I have asked to withdraw my policy but reading other reviews on internet, it looks like this wont be easy too. I will not allow them to deduct another premium out of my bank account without my consent. There is no fixed guideline or rule of how much premium they can increase annually so if you find a good cheap plan, don't be too happy because you will be paying twice of what you start with very soon. Its not what they are offering, its what they are going to change it into without a fixed rate/pattern or system.

Ridiculous

I'm truly saddened by the fact that your "doctors" seem to think that my cat's lymphoma was pre-existing to your policy. If that were the case, she would have been dead within a week of when we adopted her; one year later, I'm pleased to say that she is still purring. Lymphoma is a very aggressive form of cancer. As our veterinarian will attest, Munchkin could not have had lymphoma before he detected it - it would have killed her 4.5 pound body too quickly. Our vet has called PetFirst multiple times to explain this, yet our claims are still denied for her treatment. Shame on you for false advertising.

As Promised

Our prior insurance company, 24PetWatch (recommended by our local humane society) lost its underwriter in Florida and failed to provide me with notice. I then conducted diligence, ultimately choosing Embrace primarily because of its affiliation with USAA. In contrast to our prior company, Embrace is without peer. Shortly after obtaining coverage, our dog has an issue. We submitted two separate claims that were reviewed in quick order and approved within policy restrictions. I am impressed by Embrace's communication with the client - emails explaining coverage, prerequisites, a summary of review of pre-existing conditions. Very satisfied.

excellent

I chose Healthy Paws after hearing many good things about this company, and hands down it has been the best decision I have made for my dog and for my peace of mind. I cannot say enough about Healthy Paws. They have been always so easy to deal with; they process my claims super fast, and they have that human touch I appreciate so much. My dog got very sick and they emailed to check on him, who does that? My dog is part of my family, and having the assurance that if anything happens to him Healthy Paws will be there to make things much easier, it is just priceless. Thank you so much.

Poor service !!!

Overtime my Vet faxes a invoice and records, Pet first allays says they are missing information. Then Pet First blames it on their fax machine. Why can't Pet First call my vet and get what they need? This really delays me from getting my insurance check. Im still waiting for a check from a month ago and just got a Email saying they need more info again . This is not good business !!!
