Thank you for prompt and hassle-free claim filing!

My little buddy had to have a tumor removed and tested for cancer. Have had Trupanion insurance for years and this was the 1st time having to file a claim. There are several options as to how to file - mail, email, fax - making it easy. The response and repayment was surprisingly fast - received an email in 1 or 2 days to let me know how much was covered and when to expect reimbursement. It's reassuring to know that my buddy is in good hands & will not be neglected good health care ...which makes for a happy pet-mom! Thank you, Trupanion!

So Wise To Have Your Pet Insured!

We have had both our dogs insured and have NEVER regretted it! We have dealt from a fish hook through the tongue to emergency care due to ingestion of toxic substances such as large consumption of the dog's medication. Most recently, our 8 year old Lab had to have surgery to remove 3 teeth.The reimbursement from our insurance for these incidents have significantly helped with expenses. We especially like the fact that there is a yearly deduction rather than a per incident.

So grateful for Healthy Paws

Healthy Paws saved my 4 1/2 yr old English Bulldog, Thor. Thor developed a sudden head tilt four weeks ago and was misdiagnosed for ear infection. Two weeks after antibiotic and negative culture result he still had the persistent head tilt. Thor needed a MRI to rule out tumor in the inner ear or brain. MRI showed dense thickening area in his inner ear which they couldn't confirm tumor at the time. He also had mild meningitis. He needed a Total Ear Canal Ablation the next day to clean out the bulla. Biopsy sent off and unfortunate came back as cancerous. Thor had additional testing to rule out lymphoma and to see if the cancer metastasize to the adjacent lymph node which was negative. Between MRI, surgery, medications, and diagnostic testings my credit card rack up to around $6000. I submitted the claim to Healthy Paws and within 3 days everything was approved with 80% reimbursement. A couple days later I received my first check for the MRI. Healthy Paws is truly a well trusted insurance company. My husband thought pet insurance was a scam until he met Thor and learned about Healthy Paws. I had Healthy Paws for 2 1/2 years and have always been happy with their service. They are extremely diligent to process my claim as quickly as possible. Even though the site says 10 days turn around for claim I usually hear back within 3 days. I shop around and received numerous quotes from other pet insurance before signing up with Healthy Paws. Other health insurance was more expensive and has so much more restrictions on what they cover. It took me a while to do all the research and was very skeptical at first with Pet insurance but I'm so thankful I found Healthy Paws. I just want to get the word out there to all the pet parents how important it is to have insurance but more importantly to choose a reputable, trusted insurance to protect your loved one. I can't say enough about Healthy Paws how truly amazing they are and if I can give them more than 10 for rating I would.

Suprise - Renewal Rip Off & Overcharged

I have had PetFirst Insurance on my 2 dogs for approximately 7 years and have been happy with them and the annual renewal increase until this last August 2016 renewal. I received a email 60 day heads up notice on 6/17/16 that the premium per dog was going up 14.45% from $50.33 to $64.78 per month according to PetFirst and their Underwriters. While I expected an increase, this was more than other years. Then on 7/17/16 I received a email 30 day heads up notice stating the same thing again, each dogs premium was going to be $64.78. Then in August the month the new cost was to take affect, I was shocked that they deducted not $64.78 but rather $77.33 per month for each dog. That is a 27% increase and not what was stated in the Petfirst emails I received. I received no notice so you can imagine the shock. I thought for sure this was some sort of mistake since both emails stated $64.78 per month each dog. I called in September and the representative said she only could see that the Underwriters determined the new premiums at that price. I stated to the representative that on two occasions, Petfirst sent emails stating the Underwriters determined the new premiums per month would be $64.78. I was so mad that she told me she would have a supervisor review my case and get back to me the next day. Never heard a thing or received any call back. So called again in October and again the representative could not answer why I received emails at one price and then charged another. That representative then stated that she would need to expedite this issue up to her manager and then get back to me. To this date, now 11/6/16, still no call from them. So then I went online and did a quote for both dogs using the PetFirst online quote and found that for the same insurance and coverage for $101.23 per month or $50.61 each. Go figure. I decided today that since I keep impeccable records and that it is in my best interest to go with another company for a lower premium and superior coverage. One that does everything via online and they will pay actual costs up to the policy annual limit and offer a much higher coverage amount. So get ready PetFirst, you will be hearing from me soon.

Excellent response time and customer service

It could not have been uneasier process for me to submit a claim and get reimbursed within only a few days. The people were all very kind and pleasant to deal with and very efficient.

Claim decision reversed - thank you.

Thank you for reversing your decision as regards my claim for Layla Kootenai on 8/17. I appreciate it and am now a happy customer and feel good about Embrace.I want to feel good about my Layla's insurer - really. I can now recommend Embrace to other pet owners. Thank you for resolving this so quickly as well.

Our Max cat thanks you!

Max is now 14yo and retired from his former youtube fame. In youtube search window type: worldromer worlds best cat exercise video ... Enjoy. Max was not eating + some other symptoms. Diagnosis was lymphoma. Instead of dreaded news the Sage center oncologist prescribed a regimen of steroid + chemo pills w/98% no side effects. Max is doing great, gaining weight and with no overt symptomology. Docs say he can be with us for years to come. Bills over $2,000 and Trupanion came through for us.

Prompt and fair

I have been renewing my dog's insurance policy for several years. During that time I submitted bills on more than one occasion and I was always happy with the result.This time my dog had ultrasound and colonoscopy to get a diagnosis for his persistent bloody stools. I received reimbursement for my expenses shortly after submitting the bills. As always, they were generous.

Thank Goodness for Trupanion

We had a wonderful chocolate lab Maia who needed surgery for a tumor which turned out to be benign but was very costly and we had no insurance Towards the end of her life she would get diabetes which was another costly health issue. When we got our new Jack Russel puppy Rex we made sure to get Trupanion insurance just in case. We have use it a few times for minor issues over the years, but vet bills can be costly so having Trupanion has been great. Most recently, Rex is 6 years and gets into mischief. He got into some granola with raisins which can be toxic for dogs, so emergency and followup ran up to over $400. Then 5 months later he would get into a veggie mix with onions, another food toxic to dogs and another ER visit. We are happy to say Rex is healthy. Having Trupanion is a blessing. We have no deductible and they pay 90% of covered charges in a quick manner. Thank you Trupanion!
