anything to deny a claim

Hi all, First off, My dog had a Hematoma on his ear, as a result of external trauma. Embrace denied it because they said it was "probably due to an ear infection," and I am in the waiting period for illness. I appealed it, and when I went back to the vet, and the vet showed documentation that there were "NO SIGNS of an infection." The appeal was denied because the vet mentioned allergies, and that because my dog sometimes gets itchy skin, the hematoma caused by trauma is a "pre-existing condition." Embrace will apparently do anything to deny a claim. I am going to post my story everywhere I can

Quality and Reliable Health Insurance

I was lucky to purchase health insurance for our boxer when he was about 9 months old. At 1 yrs old, he came down with his first case of autoimmune meningitis. He is now 3 1/2 and has now been diagnosed with his 3rd bout of meningitis. The heavy steroids he was on to treat his issues caused, amongst other things, a staph infection in one of his discs in his spine. All of his diagnosis and treatments have been expensive and lengthy. Healthy Paws' submission for claims is super fast, and I receive the reimbursement right away. So grateful that my dog has access to excellent health care so he can continue leading a high quality of life

Blood test and antibiotics

Our pup got Lyme Disease and they are not covering the blood tests or antibiotics because it was transmitted through a tick. So even though this was not a preexisting condition, and our pup is sick, they WONT COVER ANYTHING.

Horrible

we read on your site that you pay out 95% of your claims, somehow I ended up in that 5% you didn't pay out. we went into Oradell to find out one issue that wasn't there before and found more issues that didn't exist before we brought him there. but as long you keep your money that's what matters. I promise you I will never recommend you to anyone and will do everything I can to make sure everyone sees what a scam you are. we had plenty of vet bills and visits to show he didn't have these problems before our rush to Oradell. so thanks for adding to our heart break, since a day after taking him home he had to be put down. awful company that doesn't deserve to be in business.

Thank you Healthy Paws!

Healthy Paws has been such a blessing! As soon as we rescued our "son" Luigi, we decided to get insurance. We shopped around and chose HealthyPaws because of its limitless coverage. We opted for the $250 deductible and 90% coverage option. The only reason I am giving 9 instead of 10 is because I wish the cost of the vet visit was covered. That is my only deduction. Other than that issue (which is pretty standard when it comes to insurance plans), I am very happy with HealthyPaws. When the short waiting period was over, Luigi and I went for a run and crashed into each other. He landed funny on his leg and immediately began to cry. I brought him to the vet and they asked if I wanted Xrays. I had no problem saying "yes!" because I wanted to make sure he was okay. Since then "crash" has needed foot surgery, antibiotics, and pain medication. Most recently, Luigi's salivary gland blew up and the doctors weren't sure if it was a cancerous lymphnode or salivary gland. He wound up needed major surgery with a salivary gland removal and biopsy. Thankfully every thing was negative and Luigi is healing. In such a short time, my baby has needed so much treatment and Healthy Paws has been there every stop of the way. We called to ask about procedures and medicine and they covered more than we thought. We used their app to easily upload and keep track of claims. Most importantly, when Luigi was recovering, I got an email from Healthy Paws just to check up on Luigi. If I didn't have insurance, I wouldn't be able to get Luigi the care he needed. Thanks to Healthy Paws, I'm able to keep my dog healthy and don't need to worry about bills when seeing a vet. Their turn around time for reimbursement is very fast and they are very easy to reach for customer service. Thank you Healthy Paws!!!

Terrible

They wouldn't cover a root canal for my dog'show broken tooth. They would only cover extraction. I didn't want her to be painful but the consulting vet didn't seem to care at all. I cancelled my policy. I would never recommend this company. "Champions of pet owner happiness" pffft, yeah right.

Very grateful for our insurance

We have ASPCA insurance for our two cats, Tom and Jerry. Tom has not needed any medical care but Jerry has had some serious health issues. We are very happy with the ASPCA coverage and the staff. Claims are easy to fill out and they are processed in a timely fashion. We have been recommending that our friends insure their animals. It is really worth it for the peace of mind.

Healthy Paws is a godsend!

Healthy Paws has been a godsend! My husband and I have a sweet American bulldog who has had her fair share of health issues. Between allergies, joint problems, and oral surgery, we've spent plenty of time at the vet. All the way through, it's been such a relief to know we have Healthy Paws. It makes our decisions so much easier, because it takes away any hesitation we would have otherwise had about giving her the care she needs due to cost. Healthy Paws has an easy-to-use website, and has always been prompt with processing our claims and sending reimbursements. Plus, their customer service is wonderful; they even write personal emails every now and then to check in on how our dog is doing after a procedure. We are incredibly grateful for the peace of mind that Healthy Paws gives us, and would highly recommend them to any pet owner.
