This was the first time I made a claim and it went very smooth. Easy to put the claim in and they explained everything that was covered and it was all itemized. Payment was fast within 2 weeks of incident.
They even called us when the process was all set and asked how the animal was doing.
Very happy we had this for this unexpected incident right before Christmas.

Pet lovers, rejoice! Finally, a company that cares.
First. Whenever I have questions, i get to talk to a person on the phone. Who loves animals. Second. Never have I ever had a problem, with these guys. Happy to pay my premium to get the best service out there. Saved my butt (and my dog's butt) many times! Original eye surgery was 4 years ago and Trupanion still pays 90% of necessary eye drops.
Fast efficient service. Even vets who I've had to visit recommend Trupanion.

Awesome!
If only human insurance were this easy! Every person I spoke with was beyond courteous and helpful. I never had to wait to reach someone and am pleased with the speed with which my claim was processed and it was paid out faster than the 5-7 business days. And even when I had questions, they were answered quickly and efficiently.

I was relieved I had kept Andy's insurance current.
I insured two of my dogs. One passed away prematurely at the age of 8. My ASPCA pet insurance expired at midnight. Honey passed away at 6:00 am. The 6 hours caused Honey's illness to be a pre-existing one making the last visit emergency room expenses ineligible for coverage. I could have fought it but was too grief stricken. My other dog Andy just passed away on 10/25/17. The policy reimbursed me for almost all expenses (up to my level's limit $3,000)for which I am very grateful.

Reasonable Turn-around Time and low hassle rate.
Kyper had to have a thorough diagnostic series to determine whether or not she had an intestinal blockage. The conclusion was negative, which made everyone happy. Embrace received our claim via fax and honored it within weeks. That compares well with our previous experience with other companies. As always with insurance, it's good to have it and you hope to never need it.

Very fast processing and payment on claims and great customer service.
I've filed multiple claims with them so far for our dog Charlie. The claim process is very simple and fast (after the initial medical history review). Every time I've emailed customer service a question, I've gotten a response by the next day. Thanks!

The website does not offer a way to...
The website does not offer a way to add Defender/Defender Plus to Companion Plus. Let Washington state residents know that we are treated differently with regards to Defender/Plus policies. It was frustrating enough that I was about to find another provider
