Recent Treatment for My Pomeranians

Filed three claims recently on my 7 yr and 8 yr old Pomeranian dogs. Claims were received and processed promptly. Two claims for illness and one for wellness. Emails received once the claims were received and I was informed of the resolution of all three claims very quickly. Refunds deposited into my bank checking account. Everything was done very efficiently and Embrace kept me informed when claims we received and resolution of each claim. Been using Embrace for over six years now. Glad I got pet insurance when my dogs were young.

Great Customer Service

We have had our two dogs covered by Embrace for a few years now and have never had an issue with them processing our claims. I submit claims via e-mail and they are reimbursed within two weeks. Any time I have had to contact them the customer service people have been excellent.

Good Coverage with ASPCA Pet Insurance

We rescued our dog and was given advice to consider pet insurance. We looked around online and without a lot of knowledge, secured coverage through an online company. Then we established with a local veterinary clinic and in the welcome packet, they included ASPCA information. We reviewed and quickly realized ASPCA had better coverage than what we had previously purchased. We have had very good servicing with ASPCA through claims submission and payments. As well as the attentiveness of the agents each time we call with questions. They also are very caring and place follow-up calls. Definitely recommend ASPCA for pet insurance needs. A great company so far for us.

Awful

Have been working with them on the same claim for over 6 months now. They requested info from my vet, I have sent everything they have asked for. Now they cannot find certain items. I have talked to someone and verified I was sending the correct info and was told I was, however a few weeks later it is wrong.

I wish Health Insurance claims were paid as fast

My dog is 10 years old and is panting and lethargic. We've taken him to our Vet and a specialist. At this point, it looks like gall bladder issues. Hopefully, another ultrasound this week will show improvement. ASPCA Pet Ins has quickly processed every claim.

Loopholes in Coverage

Apologies for the lengthy post, just want to make sure that I am documenting adequately: I have been with Healthy Paws since early 2013 for my first dog and have since added another dog to my policy. The dogs are still young, quite healthy, and have only been covered by Healthy Paws for the most routine and run-of-the-mill problems. I could afford deductibles and cover preventative care, including regular teeth cleanings at a low-cost clinic without problem. As such, I remained faithful in Healthy Paws's services to think I could afford caring for a cat, and I adopted a young sweet rescue in January of 2017, signing him up for insurance shortly thereafter. In late April of 2017, my cat Baxter (just celebrating his one year birthday) was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disorder, juvenile-onset gingivostomatitis, which means his gums are allergic to what is otherwise ordinary plaque build-up on his teeth. This results in painful sores as well as inflammation throughout the body and other general symptoms like fatigue and low appetite. The doctor informed me that it was 'going to be a long road to treatment,' and despite the devastating news, I was confident that at least my sweet pet's costs would be covered. In early May I saw a dental specialist to discuss forms of treatment--there are usually two approaches, the first for extreme cases and the second for cases caught early: 1) full dental extractions to remove the source of allergic reaction (plaque) or 2) partial extractions, paired with home care (daily brushing, oral rinses, and water additives) AND regular (as in, every 3 months) professional dental cleanings. Having discussed Baxter's options, the specialist advised beginning with the less aggressive option. Young cats, especially, have been known to make a full recovery if owners are diligent with their treatments. Before agreeing to the second option, which will involve more costs but could potentially save his teeth and lead to a longer and better quality of life, I called Healthy Paws to double-check that Baxter would be covered and was assured that he would be. Because the roots of the condition are not well known, I also contacted my rescue to see if they had any information about Baxter's early life that could be illuminating and was told that his brother was just diagnosed with the same disease and that it was likely a mix of environmental and hereditary factors because they were both rescued under-nourished and in a squalid, hording

Insurance at it's best

Sadly we recently lost our precious cat after she was run over in our street. We rushed her to the emergency vet but during surgery it was determined her injuries were too severe and we had to let her go.ASPCA have been excellent - they paid for exactly what the policy stated with no argument. They have called us a couple of times to express condolences and even sent a card. The service has been genuine and caring and I just wish our "people" insurance was so good.
