Wellness
For the wellness of the pets enrolled in this plan I believe that Trupanion should pre-authorize an annual physical exam for free to each pet covered under any plan. In the long term this could save both the pet owner and Trupanion money by diagnosing health problems early.

Our cat Tux,
Our cat Tux, who is an SPCA adoptee, was diagnosed with a urethral blockage last summer. He underwent a fairly major surgery, an expense that would have been a challenge for our household had we not had insurance. Trupanion was extremely helpful, and we are grateful that Tux is with us today!

Pre-approval
I called to verify that biopsies treatments for my pug would be covered. The pre-approval process was smooth and quick. We were able to get pre-approval and the biopsies done on the same day within a couple hours of initial call. Thank you.

Process
I was told to use the same claim number as last time since it was the same problem and the deductible was not used up. I gave that information to the vet twice and it still did not appear on what they submitted. I do not know how to do this so it is straightened out and does not have to be repeated.
